Study on Rebellious Spririt in Poems of Yoon Dong-joo
Abstract:Yoon Dong-joo has been a well-known patriotic poet in the history of poems in South Korea.However it was the Dark Period so called in Korean culture when he created poems between 1936 and 1943 when poems were mostly ignored.It was Yoon Dong-joo who was one of the few most excellent poets during the Dark Period.He kept writing during the dark and hard life,expressing the anger against the tyranny of Japanese invaders and the sadness under the sufferings in the country,which has been reflected often in his writings.The rebellious nature in the poems of Yoon Dong-joo and the position and influence of the poems in Korean culture history are analyzed in this article taking a few of his representative writings as cases in reference to the writing background and the implicit feelings of the writer.
