首先,英语的be动词包括am,is,are.其中was是am和is的过去式,而were是are的过去式.I是英语中的第一人称,对应的be动词应该是am,所以在过去进行时中的I后面应该接was,而you是英语中的第二人称,后面对应的be动词是are,所以在过去式中的you后面接的是were,相应的在疑问句中就变成了“were you……?”.而对于he和she,则都是第三人称,对应的也是was.
