关于关系从句的理解方面问题
我是个自学者 我读的是英文语法材料 最近看到关系从句 （Relative clauses）材料讲了有两种关系从句 第一种告诉我们是什么样的人什么样的事 第二种说的是extra information （额外信息 不能使用that做连接词,我不知道那个属于叫什么 感觉就像连接词 就是引导一个从句的第一个词）练习方面有很多关于能不能使用that 需不需要加that 感觉很难界定那些是extra information 感觉很多答案说他是extra information的 和前面说的第一类的修饰什么样的人 什么样的事分不清 请热心人 看下面的例子
The sun ,which is one of millions of stars in the universe ,provides us with heat and light
太阳,宇宙上万星球中的其中一个,提供给我们热量和阳光
宇宙上万星球中的其中一个 不是修饰什么样的太阳吗 为什么会是 extra information?
恩 我明白你的意思 是定语从句 这个地方是有个“，”就是在sun后面 如果没有这个都好就是定于从句 书上说的是有，不能使用“that”因为他是一个extra information （字面我理解应该是额外信息）麻烦再看下面的不带逗号的例子
The woman who/that lives next door is a doctor。这个句子没有逗号 是第一种关系从句 我觉得叫他定语从句还算合适吧 主从 我能分开 但是非额外信息 和 额外信息的界定我很疑惑 他说上面从句部分 She lives next door 这个修饰部分 不是额外信息是高所我们 什么样的 女人
而太阳的那个例子不是也是修饰 什么样的太阳吗 宇宙上万星球中的其中一个 难道不是说什么样的太阳 为什么他就是额外信息 就需要加逗号 我这部分联系 简直错题连篇 所以来问问 看看各位高人有没有这样经历 怎么理解过来的 或者怎么界定的
