That is the situation which Truman Burbank finds himself in,and tries to discover the world.Even the boat he uses to sail over the sea is metaphor,"Santa Maria" was the name of the ship in which Columbus discovers the world.
Jim Carrey,the funnyman,is equally superb in both comedy and drama scenes.Here you see both of those 2 sides.Laura Linney and Noah Emmerich are also good.Ed Harris,he has a knack of pulling some of the very best supporting performance.
Truman Show is a show that should not be missed.
