两个adjust to根本就不是一回事.

adjust to 一般用来表示适应,调节的意思,一般说适应什么样的环境、情况.
而fit in除了能表示环境、情况外,还能表示合适,一致的意思.
比如：They fit in there.

adjust和adapt的区别:

As the train came to a sudden halt, like all other curious passengers, I opened the velvet green curtains of my train compartment in hopes to catch of glimpse of what was wrong. As I pulled the curtain, I had to adjust my eyes to the violent sunlight for a better view of what was going on. Before my eyes were used to such brightness, the train started moving again. Soon it passed a tunnel, and before I knew it, I arrived at Dover.
