By using special materials on the turbine blade leading edges,it is possible to reduce the blade erosion
problem and thereby steam can enter the turbine in the dry saturated vapour condition,as is done in some geothermal systems.Such a cycle is shown in Fig.2,and this allows for increasing wetness in the latter stages of expansion at the sacrifice of some efficiency.
However,no turbine has yet been constructed that can safely accept substantially wet fluid at its inlet.
