Curl lashes An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look more gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blowdryer for a couple seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.
Apply mascara Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with another few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well.

Using standardized protocols and reference test sets developed by the National Institute of Standards [26],a mixture of research and commercially available systems were compared directly,as shown inTable 2. There was no statistically signiﬁcant difference in the results of the ﬁrst three systems and little difference in the ﬁrst seven.However,the last ﬁve systems were clearly less accurate. 3.2.Tests of DragonSystems DragonSystems is perhaps the US market leader of PC-based,continuous-speech,general-purpose SR software.In a test at PC Labs with ﬁve subjects using the software,an accuracy of 89.1% was achieved at 74 wpm as compared to 87.8% at 69 wpm with SR software from IBM.2In addition,anecdotal tests of DragonSystems have shown:3 At Raytheon,the average time to process a Material Requisition Form was reduced from 162 to 44 s (over 4 h per month) with the aid of voice macros. An attorney’s staff increased their document pre- paration productivity by 25%. An attorney generated text at 120 wpm with 95% accuracy using the software,and a nurse generated 138 wpm as compared to 40 wpm when typing. Medical transcripts were produced in one-third of the time required when typing. A doctor reduced turnaround time for medical transcriptions from 2 weeks to 1 day and reduced his variable transcript service cost from US$ 150 per day to almost zero. Total medical transcription charges of about US$ 100,000 per year at a medical center were reduced by about 80%. The high noise of modern life may affect speech and language The high noise of modern life may affect speech and language development in the very young, according to a study that found the auditory (听觉的) parts of the brains of young mice are slower to organize properly in the presence of continuous sounds. Researchers at the University of California, San Francisco, reared a group of rats in an environment of continuous background noise and found that their brain circuits that receive and interpret (解释) sound did not develop at the same rate as animals that were raised in a quieter environment. Edward F. Chang and Michael Merzenich, co-authors of the study appearing in the journal Science, said that the continuous noise delayed the organization of auditory neurons (神经细胞) during a critical two-to-three-week period after the rat pups were born. For rats not exposed to the noise, the auditory cortex(皮层) neurons during this period gathered into a smaller area and began developing a selective response to sounds. But for the noiseexposed rats, this organization was slowed, causing a delay in the development of the ability to discriminate(辨别) specific sound tones.
