as her mother is是错误的.
as is her mother是一句从句,一般放在句首,也可以置于句末.as其实和which差不多,只不过which更多用在后置从句里,而且用陈述句语序,不用倒装.
as表示“就怎么样”,比如as is her mother译为“就和他母亲一样”,另外比如as is known to everyone,就译为“就像每个人所熟知的那样”、“众所周知”.
