Researches have shown that music has an important effect on

Researches have shown that music has an important effect on one’s body and mind. In fact, there is a growing field of health care known as Music Therapy, which uses music to treat diseases. Even hospitals are beginning to use music therapy. This is not surprising, as music affects the body and mind in many powerful ways.
Researches have shown that quick music can make a person feel more alert (警觉的), while slow music can produce a calm, deep thinking state. Also, researches have found that music can change brainwave activity levels. This can help the brain to change speeds more easily on its own as needed, which means that music can bring lasting benefits to your state of mind, even after you’ve stopped listening.
Breathing and heart rate can also be influenced by music. This can mean slower breathing, slower heart rate, and a relaxing response. This is why music and music therapy can help reduce the damaging effects of long-term stress, greatly promoting not only relaxation, but health.
Music can also be used to bring about a more positive state of mind, by helping to keep worries away. Music has also been found to bring many other benefits, such as lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of strokes among others. It is no surprise that so many people are considering music as an important tool to help the body become or stay healthy.

Researches show what we already suspected: Three out of four
Researches show what we already suspected: Three out of four babies who died of SIDS(婴儿猝死) involved co-sleeping. We’ll say it again. The safest course is not to sleep with babies.
We know the argument: Bad parenting, not co-sleeping, is to blame for the dozens of babies’ deaths. Some parents stick to co-sleeping because it helps them bond with their newborns. They say those who give co-sleeping a bad name either had been drinking, used drugs or were too tired to notice that they rolled over on their children.
But, most of the cases did not involve drugs or alcohol. There’s a “but” here, however. Submitting to a test for drugs or alcohol in these cases is voluntary, so it’s difficult to know with certainty.
Organizations like the Black Health Coalition and others have explained the safe way to co-sleep. While we understand those arguments, we also know that mistakes can hap pen and that it only takes one time for something to go terribly wrong. The risk outweighs the benefit.
In all likelihood, parents will continue to co-sleep, and some will do so without ever having an incident, but babies are too vulnerable(易受伤的) for parents to take such chances. Therefore, the best place for babies to sleep is in their own beds, on their backs, with no pillows, blankets or toys. No parent wants a tragedy(悲剧) to occur. The best way to make sure the tragedy doesn’t happen is to allow babies to sleep alone in their own cribs(摇篮).

Researches selected poor, minority campuses where obesity rat
Researches selected poor, minority campuses where obesity rates and diabetes risk are higher.Among those is White Elementary, which is just off a busy interstate highway on the city's poor east side,on a street dotted with fast-food restaurants and taquerias.
In Bexar County, where the five pilot schools are located,33 percent of children living in poverty are obese.
Researchers warn that obesity is not always the result of children eating too many calories.A previous study by the nonprofit center reported that 44 percent of children studied consumed calories below daily minimum requirements, but nearly one-third were still obese.Seven percent screened positive for type 2 diabetes.
Mark Davis, the school's principal, said getting consent from parents hasn't been a problem. He suspects the small number of parents who withhold consent don't understand the project, perhaps thinking it limits what their child can eat at school.
