I have only seen my father cry once.It was at the Alton Train Station.I was on my way to Philadelphia to catch the train that would take me to college in Boston.I was eager(热切的)to go there.The college,with its courses and the promise of a better future,had become more courses.It shocked me to see tears in my father"s eyes as he shocked my hand and said goodbye.
For eighteen years,we never had a chance to say goodbye like this.He was taller than me,though I was not short.I was going somewhere though he was seeing me off.He loved me,but had not needed to say before,and now his tears were saying loved I had taken my saying from him,and now I was learning it.The train life and I boarded it.My father looked arrived from the train.We waved goodbye to each other waved the window.I was wearing the heavy winter coat that my father had bought for me to keep me from catching cold in New England.
