我的估计是两者都不是.这位仁兄听我唠叨看看.
我想这是地道的外国计算机教材,这里的inform是很好的一个活用,要靠理解,我想并不是机械的 通知 的意思,不是词典上面能查到的.
毕竟通知一个窗口怎么想也不成逻辑~

我认为意思应该是：出现一个窗口准备接受从键盘输入的信息.
inform这里的意思是出现一个窗口“提醒”操作者进行键盘操作.他强调的是 提醒 的功用.inform本意是告知,提醒,这里跟window连一起浑然天成,只能作不可分割的解读为我所说的意思,很地道很老练的用法.它既有出现窗口的意思,也暗示了这个窗口的出现是为了提醒操作者动用键盘,准备接受.inform的出现跟后文的about to receive互有照应,表示有提醒人进行相关操作的意思.
兄弟懂了么.多想想就会觉得这个inform用得真的很爽,我想这也是一种英语语言魅力的表现吧~
