College English Learing
As English is the most useful tool of communication in the world and one of the most important subjects in school,we go on learning it after entering college.But in a way college English learing is different from that of middle school.That lies in the flowlling aspects.First of all,we learn the phonetic symbols,pronunciations ,as is known as the base of a language learning in junior school.Then we begin to learn new words and expressions and grammar when we enter a senior grade.And grammar is one of the most important part in this period.All teachers and students concentrate on it.
College English learing differs a lot.In college we don't focus on those that are taught in middle school but to attach importance to speaking,listening and comprehension.We'll spend much time pratising our speaking and listening,such as talking with a foreigner constantly.Meanwhile,to enlarge our vocabuary is another important thing in college.We are supposed to grasp as many words as possible in order to meet the great demands of our future work.
To sum up,our English learning never comes to an end.Remember,Never too old to learn.

An unforgettable birthday
In the school holiday I got an unforgettable birthday.It’s on the Sunday of July 13th.
13th of July was a wonderful day,because on the 11th and 12th it was raining all day,but on the 13th morning,the rain stopped.The sun looked like a benevolent old man and he try to smile and said “Hello” to me.When I finished washed my face,and went out of my house,I felt very happy and good.The air was fresh,the sun was warm and birds were singing in the trees.
At 11o’clock my friend Christine messaged me saying “Happy birthday” and I asked her to go shopping and did some interesting things.She said “OK”.Then my dad take I to she’s road.We walked together,and shopping in the steel.It’s about 12 o’clock we went to super market to buy a cake and some candle.Unfortunately,we didn’t have fire,because we were too young,they didn’t sell to us.Then,we went to KFC to have lunch,before we to ate Christine said to me to make a wish,and I closed my eyes and made a wish.When I opened my eyes Christine give me a surprised---------a special gift.And we cut the cake and they said “Happy Birthday to Xiuting,Xiuting is sixteen already”.When we finished lunch,we went to other friend Xiaozhen’s house.In Xiaozhen’s home we watched video and played puzzle.
Yeah… it is an unforgettable birthday,because I was really happy.I got friends to celebrate my birthday and last I really want to say “Thank YOU” to my friends.

My college life
As a sophomore,I am feeling the time flies.Recalling about the past one year,so many thoughts are flooding in my mind.At this time,I just can鈥檛 tell my real idea.The memory is just like so fresh,and all the things happened yesterday!
When first day I came to University,I really feel that the school is very good,but at the first sight of the dormitory,something disappointing come up to me!The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room,no lavatory!I saw something sad in my father鈥檚 eyes,maybe that time he thought of the poor condition!So with a big smile on my face,I told my father鈥 it doesn鈥檛 matter,Dad.In this kind of condition,I will get myself better!鈥 My father felt better.But when he was coming back,seeing his back,I just wanted to cry!I felt in this city I was just isolated,from that time,I said to myself,鈥 you have no others who can help you here,just depend on yourself鈥
And then I came to my dormitory 303.I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there.Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice,but I can鈥檛 understand them!Again,I felt myself isolated!I hated that kind of feeling,and then I said to hello to them!To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted!I no longer felt afraid.And I got along well with them.But at the first night here,I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family.I don鈥檛 know why.Everyday when I was at home,I was just eager to go to school,to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here,I am just eager to go back!It鈥檚 quite strange though,you must know this kind of feeling!
Just spending about 2 days here,we were on our way to military train.To us,it鈥檚 a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the classmates.But to me,I was nervous but excited.This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family.So,you know,it鈥檚 just this kind of feeling I can鈥檛 convey it clearly!The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities,for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball.At that time,I felt myself so little among them.All of them have a special talent but not me.I admired them but meanwhile jealousy.Why don鈥檛 I have this kind of talent?Am I stupid?I always said to myself.So that time I was also very ambitious,just eager to catch up with them.Except the classmates,the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me!He was not very handsome and very kind.Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training.He always said to me that I should be serious in the team but I didn鈥檛 listen to him.So after a long time,when investigating the training result,I gave them a disappointing answer.The highest trainer sent me to clean the toilet,although,it didn鈥檛 means insulting to my dignity,but I was really sad about myself and my heart was hurt.That was a small thing but told me that I need to be serious to one thing.And unhappiness passed,the happy and funny time recalled me that folding the blanket.Yeah,it鈥檚 really very funny.Most of us had never folded the blanket and naturally we can鈥檛 accomplish the task well.When the monitor came,we pleased him to help us to fold the blanket.To our expect,we managed to persuade the monitor.After the monitor finished the task for me.I dared not to touch the blanket again and just used the clothes instead of the blanket.Of course,I felt very cold in deep night,so to my instinct,I crashed into my classmate鈥檚 blanket.And we were scratching the single blanket fiercely,just like a war.(Writing here I can鈥檛 help laughing out loudly).
So many interesting things in the train,I can鈥檛 list them all.Individually,I feel the train life is hell unforgotten.I think I will never forget it,cherish it as one bell in the sea.
Time virtually flies like a rocket; the train life was over in a flash.We came back with the good memory and deep friendship (there we knew each other well and became good friends).In our imagination,some of us burst out tears when leaving but not me (am I very cruel?Hehe).I know the whole new life is welcoming us to go back.What we can do is just putting the memory away.
As a girl,all the fresh things can attract their eyes.Yeah.This time curiosity can鈥檛 kill a cat.When coming back,the first thing we want to do is chatting.鈥淭alking about all the things in high school.鈥 From the talk,I know all the dorm mates are ambitious and they are eager to achieve their own goals.In fact,all the days are almost the same,we didn鈥檛 know if there were any fresh things in college life except making boyfriend (Just joking here,of course,we have never been so simply).Everyday,except chatting just chatting,maybe some study for the scholarship.And the term passed quickly.You must be strange 鈥 isn鈥檛 there any contradiction among you and your dorm mates?鈥 It鈥檚 true that we do have.But it won鈥檛 last several days.(Very happy,isn鈥檛 it?)
In the final examination,four of us got the scholarship (7 in all).To be honest,I should have been proud of them,but not,because I didn鈥檛 get it because of the bad train scores.In this aspect I am selfish.At the same time it鈥檚 a motivation for me to work hard.The atmosphere of studying in our dormitory is good,and we encourage each other!This is a very positive aspect.And negative one,maybe there is no.So I consider our dormitory perfect.
The next term,not very different with the first one,only one difference is that we work harder and harder and so many exams for us to prepare.We were always worried about the scores after taking the examination.Sometimes we can know our scores about some subjects very early,but if low,we are certainly disappointed.The life is not like the first one funny but duller.
Saying goodbye to the freshman,we become sophomores now.There are some feelings different.Mature a bit and puzzled with the future.In this term,let me see,we have several conferences about the job after graduating from the school.Yeah,although,it鈥檚 a little early about us to talk about this problem; we are facing so many problems.Maybe the influence of the graduates鈥 information is one of important factors.They are facing all kinds of pressures especially the job-finding pressure.So we are,and something other鈥?br/>I can only think of these things.This is my college life not like the imagination of us,but it鈥檚 real.I have no other thoughts.The future is unforeseeable.Nobody can tell out what will happen in the future.Good or bad or other things?What we can do is to master now; today is our hope.There is a song can tell the truth well,which is 鈥 grasp each minute in our life,try your best to let your dreams come true.鈥

Colledge life
Colledge is a special place,epecially to newcomers.Lots of them even don't know how to run the colledge life in the beginning.Cause there's too much time to run.But I have to say,besides learnning,lots of people choose to participate in some activity community,try to start a romantic relationship,keep a parttime job or enjoy themselve by playing computer games or sports games.How about you?what about your choice then?

When it comes to my college life,I think of two words.One is colorful,the other peaceful.They are used to describe my college life in different periods.
I still remember the first day I set foot in this college.Buildings were surrounded by many trees.Fashionable dressings were here and there.What I saw was really fresh.My college life began with fresh.Gradually,it turned to be colorful.During the first year in my college,I was the leader of Communist Youth League in my class.I attended meetings,made announcements and organized class activities.I learnt to shoulder my responsibility and unit my classmates.Besides,I was a member of Youth Volunteer Association.In my space time,I went to an old people’s home to visit the senior citizens.I organized a donation to help the poor children.I planted trees in Mount Qingxiu.I got no physical reward from these work,but I did make a contribution to help those who are in desperate need of care.Apart from this,I joined New Voice,an English association in School of Foreign Language,which provided a platform for English learners to make a speech,debate,free talking and so on.I benefited a lot from the activities.For one thing,I improved my spoken English; for another,I learnt to show myself in public.Thanks to these activities,not only did I develop my interest,but also I lived a colorful college life.
As time goes by,now I am a sophomore.I am still a class leader,a member of different associations.But it is quite different to me.I realize that all the activities are only a small part of my life.For a college student,study is the main task.This term I go all out to pass the TEM-4 and National Computer Text.In addition,I should spare no effort to master all the skills in English learning.Only in this way,can I lay a firm foundation and pave the road to my future.In fact,it is not easy for me to settle down on my study at first.I have to sit down in a classroom and read my textbooks for hours on end.Sometimes it is boring and tough.Whenever I want to give up,a voice from my heart says“Study is no longer an easy job.It needs patience,perseverance and perspiration”.Little by little,I find that sitting in a library,looking up a dictionary and pondering a couple of questions is another kink of joy.Though it is not colorful,I enjoy the peaceful life.
No matter what my college life is,one thing is certain:I should try my best to make it a meaningful college life.Still,I have a long way to go.
