1.第一句就是一个简单的同位语从句嘛
the boy told his teacher a lie是主句,...that he was...表明了lie的内容,是同位语从句,当然如果that后面写that made his teacher angry的话就变成定语从句了
2.翻译一下先：他提到的那个城市的降雨量是我们城市的两倍 不能改成where where是关系副词,在句子所引导的部分充当状语修饰动词成分的.另一个简便的方法就是,city是mention的宾语,你看看he mentioned the city如果把city提上去做先行词的话,he mentioned XX就缺宾语了
如果你要用where,可以说The city where he lives receives...这种句型
变一下就是The city in which he lives...
另外表达倍数的方法还可以说two times as much as that in our city
