A和D 出现BEING 和HAVING BEEN,排除.
superior TO 是固定搭配,Longman上有superiority over 所以B.D不能被排除.
AND两边的平行结构,是把usefulness和后者选项比较,而不是demonstrated和后者某个动词比较.
选B的话 ,AND两边的结构都是被动,符合平行原则,更有语感.
另外B 在内容上强调了usefulnaess the of horse被proved早过usefulness of the motor car被demonstrated.
