It's an ironic issue that we know about how terrible consequence will a fire caused, nevertheless, we seldom pay adequate attention to prevent it out from out life. Such as the wire is aged, and it should be changed in time, but in fact, the older wire still be used for some reason, and some students used the electrical equipment which forbidden to be used in dorm. They forgot to turn off when they went out for learning or something else. Besides it, I also heard a case a student smoke in his bed, and the quilt caught fire.
It is time for us to take precaution for the fire. At first, all of us should be familiar with the instruction of the electrical equipments, and remember to shut down the power in time. The second, the electrician should check the circuit as the requirement, the aged wire should be changed in time. The third, all of us should know how to protect ourselves from the harm of fire, it is better to know how to use the fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

Faced with such a chilling fact, people keep asking, “What on earth results in these repeated tragedies?”
A brief survey of them reveals that human factors still prove to be the leading causes. For example, three of these fires were caused by the students’ use of electric water-heaters. As students often leave the heaters unattended, the risks are rather high should the water in the bottle boil dry while no one is around to turn off the power. In other cases, fires were also caused by stoves, candles, cigarette butts, etc.
Since most of these disasters could have been prevented if proper precautions had been taken, students should be better educated on the importance and measures of fire control. The following three reminders are of particular importance for us students: First, learn how to use a fire extinguisher. Second, double-check cankles, heaters, stoves and other electric appliances, and make sure there are no open flames before leaving rooms. Lastly, do not smoke in the dorm.
