The possibility of drunk drivers being caught would be higher if more DUI checkpoints are set. A DUI checkpoint is a roadblock set up by law enforcement officers to detect and deter impaired drivers. Every drunk driver can be detected when they pass though DUI checkpoints and as a result, the possibility of drunk drivers being caught would be much higher. If that happened, the number of victims due to drunk driving would also be drastically reduced and it would help deter people from driving when they are drunk. This would also be a major improvement on traffic safety and put a cap on the number of alcohol consumers. There is alcohol available everywhere in today's society such that practically anyone can get their hands on some regardless of age or gender, which promotes children to be exposed to alcohol at an earlier age. By setting up more DUI checkpoints, we would be starting the first of many important modifications on today's society and ensuring the safety of future generations to come.
