这是关于since的一个固定用法 It + is + 【一段时间】+ since +【过去时】
理解一下的话大概就是某件事发生过去了多少多少时间,“某件事的发生”就是一个过去发生的事情,在句中没有对现在造成影响,所以用过去式.
初中高中老师都讲since要用完成时特例应该就这一个吧（至少大学之前是的）
啊但是since表示“既然,由于”的意思的时候也不一定完成时,此时用法跟because差不多
