richen和enrich的区别?

这两个单词很多英语好的人也搞不清楚,原因是其区别是细微而抽象的.
richen 的意思,使富裕,一般是指物质/金钱方面的富有
而 enrich 不仅表示物质上的富裕,在有些语境里也有精神上的”充实“的意思.
请看例句：
The arrival of the factories has richened the people of the city.
Furthermore,the new libraries,the parks,and the free concerts offered by the city have enriched the lives of the inhabitants and greatly improved their quality of life.
顺便一提,很多人（包括英语老师）对 richen 不熟悉,会认为这个单词是错的.

richen:vt,使富
enrich:vt.使富裕，使富有；给……添加肥料；使……美味；装饰

按以前的要求 前者属于拼写错误 现在 已经 不算 拼写错误 = enrich
所以 二者 作为及物动词 没有什么区别 但我认为最好 用后者

richen vt.
使富；使更浓
enrich vt.
使充实；使肥沃；使富足
都是及物动词，但是字面意思不同。
