I was not aware of the true meaning of kiwi until I learnt the culture of New Zealand. Not only is it a kind of flightless bird which is native to, and the national symbol of, New Zealand, but also it is the nickname used internationally for people from New Zealand. .
I had seen a short film that described the process of kiwi bird running to dream. It won the Academy Award nomination for best cartoon short. In this short cartoon, a kiwi bird works so hard in order to fly in the sky though it has no wings. It did a lot of things only to realize the feeling in the sky. Finally, it succeeded. The feeling is so beautiful. Besides, this moved me deeply. A little bird can spare no efforts realizing the dream. So this also spurred New Zealanders to work hard for their country.
