A word of caution in relation to a common misuse of EBITDA:Analysts often use EBITDA as a measure of cash flow.The reason that EBITDA can be so misleading in this respect is that it clearly excludes interest and taxation expenses,which are very important cash outflows.Earnings plus depreciation and amortization is a good measure of cash flow but EBITDA is certainly not.
