Overview of subordinate clauses
When a number of ideas are combined in one sentence, some ideas are more important than others. We can use subordinate clauses to express less important ideas. These can be either adverbial, noun or attributive clauses.
1.Adverbial clauses can express time, place, manner, contrast, condition, reason, purpose or result. The are introducde by conjunctions that indicate the meanings of the clauses,e.g.,when,where,how,although,if,since,because,in order, that and so that.
2.Noun clauses function like nouns in a sentence, and can be the subject, the object or the predicative. They start with the word that,or with a question word(what, which, whose, when ,how, why, where and who),or if or whether. The word that is ofen left out when it introduces a noun clause as the object, especially in speaking and informal writing.
3.Attributive clauses arfe like adjctives-they give more information about something. They start wirh a relative pronoun(which, that, who, whom and whose),or a relative adverb(where, whe and why). There are two kinds of attributive clauses, restrictive and non-restrictive.
A restrivrive attributive clause gives information which'defines'the object or person. No comma is usedbefore the relative pronoun/adverb.
The relative pronoun that can often be used in restrictive atributive clauses to replace who and which.
Often the relative pronoun can be left out if it is the object of the attriutive clause. This happens in spoken English.
A non-restrictive attriutive clause gives additional information, which could be left out without the sentence losing its grammatival meaning, and which is put after a comma.
TIP:When we report questions using noun clauses, the word order is that of a statement, not that of a questin,e.g.,I do not know when she will travel.(NOT Ido ot know when will she travel.)

Overview of subordinate clauses
从句面面观(=_=!试图模仿参考书)
When a number of ideas are combined in one sentence, some ideas are more important than others. We can use subordinate clauses to express less important ideas. These can be either adverbial, noun or attributive clauses.
当有很多观点要在一个句子里表述的时候,有一些观点(想法)比其他的观点(想法)重要.我们可也用从句来表述次要的观点.这些从句可以是状语从句,名词性从句或者定语从句.
1.Adverbial clauses can express time, place, manner, contrast, condition, reason, purpose or result. The are introducde by conjunctions that indicate the meanings of the clauses,e.g.,when,where,how,although,if,since ,because,in order, that and so that.
1.状语从句可以用来表述时间,地点,外观,差异,条件,原因,目的或者结果.由连接词来显示从句的意思,即:用“when”,“where”,“how”,“although”,“if ”,“since”,“because”,“in order”,“that” 和“so that”来引出从句.
2.名词性从句在句子里相当于一个名词,它可以是主题,肯定或者否定某件事.名词性从句由“that”,或者是疑问词(what,which,whose,when,how,why,where,和who)引出,或者“if”或“whether”.在口语或者非正式书面语中,“that”用于引导宾语时常常被省略掉.
3.Attributive clauses arfe like adjctives -they give more information about something. They start wirh a relative pronoun(which, that, who, whom and whose),or a relative adverb(where, whe and why). There are two kinds of attributive clauses, restrictive and non-restrictive.
3.定语从句的作用和定语一样,它们提供更多的信息.它们由关系代词引出 (which,that,who,whom,和 whose),有两种定语从句:限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句.
A restrivrive attributive clause gives information which'defines'the object or person. No comma is usedbefore the relative pronoun/adverb.
限制性定语从句为宾语(对象或者人)下定义,代名词或副词前没有逗号.
The relative pronoun that can often be used in restrictive atributive clauses to replace who and which.
在限制性定语从句中,关系代词常常取代“who”和“which”.
Often the relative pronoun can be left out if it is the object of the attriutive clause. This happens in spoken English.
在口语中,如果是否定式定语从句,关系代词常常被省略掉.
A non-restrictive attriutive clause gives additional information, which could be left out without the sentence losing its grammatival meaning, and which is put after a comma.
非限制性定语从句提供补充信息,即使省略也不会影响句子的语法和意思.非限制性定语从句跟在逗号后面.
TIP:When we report questions using noun clauses, the word order is that of a statement, not that of a questin,e.g.,I do not know when she will travel.(NOT Ido ot know when will she travel.)
技巧:当我们用名词性从句来提问时,语序是和陈述句一样而不是与疑问句一样,即:I do not know when she will travel.(不是 I do not know when will she travel.)

形容词从句、副词从句、名词从句,统称为从属句(Subordinate Clauses),简称从句.通常它都由从属连词(Subordinate Con-junctions)引带.凡包含从句的句子都称为复合句(Complex Sentences).
你想要的从句的有关资料太多了,还是买一本语法书好好研究一下或者在网上下载一本电子书也可以的.

话说这个以前上学时老师都花了很多课讲这个,其实如果你不是英语专业的,是什么从句不重要,重要的是你看得懂,我个人把从句看做是主句的补充说明,由于补充说明的主句部分不同,就有了各种从句.复杂的长句一般都有好几个从句,而且还有时候省略了连词,所以你首先要找出主句,再找出从句与主句的那个部分对应.

Pick a job or position (paid or unpaid) that you have held in which you delegated to others or had responsibilities delegated to you.
Describe your experience with delegation in terms of what went well and why,or what did not go as expected.

Delegation means entrusting subordinates to accomplish an assignment (¡°Delegation of authority¡±,n.d.).In other words,it is about delegate right tasks to the right person.
In this case, whether I will delegate a task to that subordinate or not,it depends on what the subordinate is capable at.He is incapable of doing a particular task doesn¡¯t mean he¡¯s incompetent in doing every task.I will still delegate a task to him but I have to ensure that the task is suiting his knowledge, align with his willingness, and able to develop his professional knowledge and skill.
To increase the chances of a successful outcome of this delegation,I have to make a good communication with subordinates,be encouraging, and give reward to delegates. These not only to increase the chances of successful outcome but also to avoid pitfalls like the manager is grabbing the glory of delegates¡¯ hard work or the manager is dumping works to them.
Jerry planned to go to his subordinate because,---

he couldn't get used to the new working environment.
