This paper mainly describes the fabrication plan of a highly integrated self-learning infrared remote controller by using V9-1056S as the main chip. From the user perspective, the emphasis in the design is the improvement in the aspects of low cost and low power consumption. The paper illustrates the sequence of process in the fabrication of a self-learning infrared remote controller with the use of remote controller chip, from the drawing of schematic diagram right up to the fabricating of PCB board, as well as the verification and improvement on the function and performance of the design.

The first chapter mainly dwells on the background of modern self-learning infrared remote controller and its current status of development. Chapter two describes from the principle perspective, the fabrication plan for the remote controller’s hardware including chip packaging, schematic diagram and infrared encoding implementation. Chapter three briefly describes the fabrication of the infrared receiving system based on the 89C52 platform in accordance with the testing requirements, so as to facilitate the verification of the remote controller function. Chapter four mainly presents the mainstream infrared encoding formats and principles in the current market; it analyzes the infrared encoding formats from the software perspective, and elaborates on the principles of NEC codes. In chapter five, the function and performance of the remote controller are tested by going through several experiments including functional parameters and power consumption comparisons; and improvements are done on the fabrication plan so as to achieve the original design objective of low power consumption and minimal cost.
