He is the co-founder and chief executive officer(CEO) of Apple Inc.
Jobs also once served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios;
he became a member of the board (董事会) of The Walt Disney

In the late 1970s ,Jobs,with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak,
Mike Markkula,and others,designed ,developed ,and marketed

After losing a power struggle with the board in 1984,Jobs
resigned from Apple and founded NeXT,a company for the
higher education and business markets.In 1996,Jobs back to
the company he co-founded.
In 1986,he remained CEO and majority shareholder at 50.1%
until 2006.Finally,Jobs became Disney's largest shareholder at 7%.

Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco,California to Joanne Simpson and a Syrian father.Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View,California then adopted him.In 1972,Jobs graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino,California and enrolled in Reed College in Portland,Oregon.Steve Jobs had a deep-seated interest in technology,so he took up a job at Atari Inc,then a leading manufacturer of video games.He struck a friendship with fellow designer Steve Wozniak and attended meetings of the “Homebrew Computer Club” with him.In 1976,Jobs and Wozniak founded Apple Computer in the Jobs family garage.The first personal computer was sold for $666.66.By 1980,Apple had already released three improved versions of the personal computer.In 2004,Jobs was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his pancreas,which was successfully treated.Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple on August 24,2011 and subsequently assumed the role of Chairman of the Board.On October 5,2011,Jobs passed away.
