Jennie is my good friend. She used to be a movie fan. She went to the movie theater at least twice a
week. What’s more, she often bought VCDs and watched them at home. When she was watching,

正常情况下是不会用的,尤其是私人邮件.但正式邮件比如一些商务或官方会这样用显得更正式.除了邮件外口语中没人会这样自称,除非是自我介绍的时候说,you can call me Miss Wang.
补充一点：当你写信给对方,而希望对方回复,就会在信尾你的名字前加上title,这样也方便对方给你回信时知道你是male或者female.因此你所看到的情况是完全成立的.
