William Blake is an important poet representing the pre-romanticism in English literature in whose masterpiece The Tiger the structural identicalness between the enlarged metaphor "tiger" and the deafening "anvil music" represents the splendid "making process of the tiger". Tiger is associated with fire in color: the burning fire is in the color between red and orange,similar to the color of the tiger; secondly, the tiger"s eyes are like flames, and made of flames.This poem is not so much about the tiger as it really is, or as a zoologist might present it to us; it is the Tyger, as it appears to the eye of the beholder. It could destroy the old system and establish a new one. Blake enhanced the meaning of both.These poems focus on evil and the importance of understanding the evil around in hope of attaining a state of innocence. In The Songs of Innocence Blake suggests that by recapturing the imagination and wonderment of childhood,we could achieve the goal of self-awareness.The poems thus present views of the world as filtered through the eyes and mind of a child.We can also infer that evil can bring forth the loss of innocence. Another shared theme between the two works, The Tiger and The Lamb, is the theme of creation and divine intervention. In both poems Blake questions multiple times about how each was created. In The Lamb, Blake suggests that the lamb was created by a godlike being. In The Tiger Blake questions if the tiger was created by the same being that created the lamb. Such curiosity is a common theme to both poems. Thus, through the information discussed, it can be seen that there exists a common comparison in two separate works by William Blake. The Tyger" is a poem by the English poet William Black. It was published as part of his collection Songs of Experience in 1794. It is one of Blake"s best known and most analyzed poems. The Cambridge Companion to William Blake calls it "the most anthologized poem in English."Most modern anthologies have kept Blake"s choice of the archaic spelling "tyger". It was a common spelling of the word at the time but was already "slightly archaic"when he wrote the poem; he spelled it as "tiger" elsewhere, and many of his poetic effects "depended on subtle differences of punctuation and of spelling.” Thus, his choice of "tyger" has usually been interpreted as being for effect, perhaps to render an "exotic or alien quality of the beast", or because it"s not really about a "tiger" at all, but a metaphor. 十种故事类型是我要介绍的第一个关于故事架构的理论。 Blake Snyder（1957-2009）在他2005年出版的 Save The Cat （简称STC）一书中首次提出这种分类法。实际上STC是一本关于电影剧本创作的书，十种故事类型仅是其中的第二章。鉴于第二章反响热烈，作者在2007年又出版了STC2。这一次，整本书都是关于这十个故事类型，每个类型下还细分了五个子类型，归纳了几十部影片。2009年出版了STC3,但这本书与STC1一样，是关于电影剧本的。同年八月，Blake Snyder不幸因心脏病突发去世。他来过中国，这三本书都有汉译，名字就叫做《救猫咪》。如果你想买的话，请务必包括第二本，这是他一生研究的精华。但如果觉得英语没问题，最好到Amazon上买原版书，也不妨直接去正统的STC社区及相关网站查找资料，本文末尾我将提供相关网址供大家参考。 按照这个理论，人类历史上曾经讲述过的和将要讲述的所有故事，大体上都能归到这十个类别。请注意，不要同我们平时说的故事类型混淆，例如科幻、浪漫、悬疑、玄幻……，完全两码事。在深入每个类别、了解该理论的用法、好处、局限以及我本人对它的拓展之前，我先概括介绍这十个类别。 （1） Monster In The House （屋子里的怪物，缩写为MITH，我的简称是“惩罚”类型）。上帝毁灭索多玛和蛾摩拉这两个城市，因为那里的人们荒淫无耻、罪孽深重。这类故事中，由于某种原因，招来了一个强大力量的打击，这种打击在某个范围之内是无差别的，没人能逃脱。典型的电影例如《午夜凶铃（美版）》。 （2） Golden Fleece （金羊毛，缩写为GF，我的简称是“旅程”类型），命名取自于伊阿宋带领一队希腊英雄去远方获取金羊毛的故事。这类故事似乎比较容易辨别：一队人（或一个人），为了某个明确的目的而踏上行程。但实际上这个类别变体甚多，豪不夸张地说，这是一切故事类型中最重要的类别，而且它往往在复合类型故事中起到一个框架的作用。例子：《西游记》。 （3） Out Of The Bottle （阿拉丁神灯，缩写为OOTB，我的简称是“神灯”）。在这种类型的故事中，主角常常会获得某种超自然的好处（或者诅咒），这种好处或者诅咒在该故事的世界中明确地不会发生——除了发生在主角身上。如今在网络上发布的小说大部分都有这类元素，我们很快就能知道，什么样的故事才是真故事，什么又是假故事。 （4） Dude With A Problem （小人物遇到大问题，缩写为DWAP，我的简称是“绝境”）。这个类型故事的主角是个普通人——请不要混淆“普通人”与“一无所长的失意之人（underdog、傻瓜）”之间的区别，所谓普通人就是“我们中的一员”，他可以是个警察、特工、登山者、宇航员……任何职业。主角在不经意间被卷入一场突发性的事关生死的搏斗之中，很多表现个人英雄主义的影片都能归结到这一类，典型的如《虎胆龙威I》。 （5） Rites Of Passage （生命历程的典礼，缩写为ROP，我的简称是“成长”）。这类故事通常叙述的是角色在人生某个特定阶段的一系列事件，挣扎、感悟并最终接受的经历。典型的例如《克雷默夫妇》。 （6） Buddy Love （伴侣和爱情，缩写为BL，我的简称是“情爱”）。在这类故事中，除了相伴的两方，主要的故事情节是他们由于某种原因无法顺利在一起，直到最后解决。应当注意的是，并不是内容当中有爱情的故事就是这种故事类型。很多故事为了添加“爱情”这一调味料，忽略了情节的平衡，结果造成了总体结构的失衡。了解故事类型，了解故事类型为什么会起作用，就可以彻底避免这种错误。电影举例：《罗密欧与朱丽叶》、《忠犬八公的故事》。 （7） WhyDunnit （为什么要这么做，缩写WD，我的简称是“探秘”）。很多案件侦破、探寻真相的故事都属于这一类别。举例：《本能》。 （8） Fool Triumphant （傻瓜的胜利，缩写FT，我的简称是“傻瓜”）。一个明显不被看好的人，结果却取得了令人瞩目的成就。例子有《阿甘正传》、《射雕英雄传》等。 （9） Institutionalized （被制度化的，缩写为I，我的简称是“制度化”）。这类故事通常都反映了个人与集体之间的矛盾，为了融入集体，你必须牺牲一部分个性。代表性的例子如《飞越疯人院》。 （10） Superhero （超级英雄，缩写为SH，我的简称是“超人”）。看上去这是个含义很鲜明的类别，但实际上要真正写好这类故事并不容易。总的来说，超人类别的故事基本上是围绕着“不相信自己”和“在人类社会中生活感到痛苦”这两大主题进行的。具体例子如《黑客帝国I》、《蜘蛛侠II》。 专栏后续将有十篇文章对每种故事类型做出详细的解说，如果你等不了那么长时间，除了买Blake Snyder的《救猫咪II》，也可以去下列网站获得更多信息： 问题一 ：是不是有些故事不属于这十个类型？ 回答 ：世界上那么多故事，肯定有不属于上述任何类别的。我在分析故事的实践过程中，碰到过少数模棱两可的故事，但除非那些例外的故事足够多、品质足够好（尤其是后面这点），否则就没有必要增加类型。故事是一种感性的东西，不属于科学，所以在任何故事理论范围内，都会出现一些比较勉强的例子，但这种勉强的情况不能太多。从这方面来讲，尤其是对于那些优秀的故事，Blake Snyder的十种故事类型是够用了。 问题二 ：这个理论有用吗？ 回答 ：我认为该理论对于分析和创作故事都非常有用，随着本专栏的进行，你必定会看到这一点。有句话说人人都有艺术家的潜质，但我本人显然没有艺术家的天赋。他的理论能让平庸的我在分析自己或者别人作品时快速归类，找到缺失的某些关键要素，或删去累赘，让故事的发展维持正确的方向。在分析故事的时候，这个理论经常给我惊喜（我将在后续的篇幅中将这些惊喜一一奉上），甚至让我窥探到作者在创作过程中的一些心理历程和独特想法。这些都是很有价值的收获。 在故事的创作方面，这个理论有很大的应用价值，这体现在每个故事类型都能直接与人的原始情感联系起来，而“情感”则是故事的本质所在。假如你对上面十个类型稍微审视一番，就很容易推测每种故事类型在原始部落中发生的情形。更具体的，我会在今后逐一详述。 问题三 ：既然Blake Snyder的十种故事类型理论已经成型，不光有书，又有网站，你还有什么必要在这里做重复劳动？ 回答 ：当我刚刚接触这个理论（也包括其他一些理论）的时候，用它们类分析电影和小说，反复演练，觉得兴奋异常，心想这次终于获得了一件超级武器，可以写出一鸣惊人的小说了。但事情不是这样的。走了很多弯路我才最终明白一个道理：没有任何理论能够保证你写出一个好故事。类型理论的用处在于故事的创作者在规划阶段少走弯路，快速试验多种不同的结构。这方面我们可以拿电脑绘画来类比，在电脑中你可以快速反复试验各种不同的笔触、构图，但再好的绘画软件都不保证你画出一张名画；如果你有好的构思，优秀的工具能让你如虎添翼。所不同的是，绘画软件在网上有丰富的教程，而故事创作理论的具体应用却基本上找不到什么资料。我在这里分享的，是应用那些理论的第一手体会，相信通过这样的交流，你也能找到属于自己的理论和方法用来分析或者创作故事。 另外还有一点特别值得注意：当你通读了STC2，会发现IMDB上名列前茅的一大部分电影并没有得到分析（通常认为IMDB top100中的那些电影都是历年来比较优秀的）。去STC社区论坛中寻找，得到的结果也很少，即使有，常常结论混乱。我甚至一度想放弃它：如果不能正确应用于那些公认比较优秀的故事，这样的理论又有什么意义？但去年当我再度捡起这个理论的时候，我突然悟到了一些道理，现在它是我理论库中一件不可缺少的武器。我曾经怀疑十种故事类型太少了，但现在我认为已经够了。我想说的是，任何自成体系的故事理论都有点像占星学（关于这一点，我以后会专门写一篇），只要不过于牵强附会都行，这就是故事与数学不同的地方。近五年的应用经历，让我意识到Blake Snyder的理论需要改进、发展，相信如果不是英年早逝，他本人或许早已做到了这一点吧。

我认为是真的。littleJ的金发据说是染的。我感觉染成金发的人一般眉毛还是比较黑，所以看起来总觉得与头发的金色反差较大，感觉别扭。littleJ还有lost里面juliet（看过以前她黑发的照片，猜测lost里面的金发是染得），她们的眉毛颜色都比较黑。开始总觉得她们哪里别扭，后来觉得就是较深的眉毛和金发色彩对比度较大，有点不协调。blakelively的眉毛颜色较浅，不那么黑，看着金发也自然。还有染的金发，稍微长起来一点后，发根会慢慢显现出原本的黑色（当然也可能是其他颜色，如栗色，红色等）。这也可能判断天生金发和后天的吧。我的个人判断，希望满意。

Once I heard the name of him, I just knew he was a versatile man. However, the poem—‘London" astound me deeply when I read it again and again. There are some beautiful words, wonderful rhythm and imaginational sentences. The poem has four stanzas, and each line has ten syllables. Every stanza has double rhyme. For example, the first stanza has two foots, ‘|I | and |ou|". It uses some rhetoric methods in the poem, just like trope, parallelism, and metaphor. The three ‘in every" are obvious parallelism in the second line. In the third line, Blake used hyperbole, antitheses and metaphor. The miserable chimney-sweeper contrasts the bright church. The soldier contrasts the palace walls. And the last sentence tells readers that the decayed society will be destroyed eventually. Blake used the words skillfully. For instance, the ‘chartered" means that a street or a river owned by rich men and nobles only. He just used a word to describe a hierarchical society that poor man has not the right to walk on the chartered street or see the river—Thames. Then he used three ‘mark". The first ‘mark" is a noun, the other two ones are verb. It depicts the weak and woeful people in the street visually. In the last line, Blake used the word ‘blast" to describe how harmful ‘the youthful harlot"s curse" to the baby. It gives readers a consuming feeling that the curse will destroy all the things thoroughly. ‘London", which had been written in 1794 is a lyric. At the time, the Britain had been capitalism for centuries. The society became more decayed as the time past. For express the dissatisfaction to the society, the author wrote the poem. Blake opened out the reality that the society moldered day by day. The distance between rich and poor were larger and larger. More and more inequable things happened in the daily lives. It seems that people lost the hope for the future. Blake used a technique as montage to write the different angles of the society. As the fast change of the scene, the poem shows up a real British society to readers. I see as though the weak and woeful faces; I hear as though the cry of chimney-sweeper; moreover, as though the youthful harlot"s curse hovers over my ears unceasingly. The feeling is so vivid even more than 200 years past. I love the poem because of the real description but the beautiful words. The most real poem, the most real society.
