第一次在豆瓣上写书评，没想到第一次竟然给了这本书。 搞到本书的原因是老师要求，为了毕业论文还有以后苦逼的研究生生活做基础，读书的目的是熟悉块体理论的基本概念，按照老师的说法就是入门一下下。在老师口中这本书可算是块体理论的开山之作，但是我作为一个即将结束本科生涯的学生（学的还不是工程），什么是块体理论都不知道，对所谓块体理论在实际工程实践中的用处和地位更是完全不了解。为了毕业论文只能硬着头皮把书翻完，虽然谈不上熟读，但是还算了解基本章节结构和每章的主要内容。下面就分章节吐槽吧。 ps：书是英文的，并且是1985年出版的老书，我的书是复印的老师的藏品，目测老师的那本是他留学的时候搞到的。查了下国图有这本书，这么冷门的资料估计没人来豆瓣查。写这种书评就算是蛋疼的时候自娱自乐下。 Chapter1 Introduction 没有重要内容，扯了点工程中的实际问题，给出了Block Theory的几个假设，关键是假设本书研究的块体都是凸体（也就是说结构面无限长，其实后面也涉及到了凹体，但是结构面无限长的假设一直没变）。 Chapter2 Description of Block Geometry and Stability Using Vector Methods 抄了点空间解析几何教材中的内容，主要是笛卡尔坐标系下的各种向量计算，求面积体积之类。无新意。完全是数学教材上的东西。 Chapter3 Graphical Methods Stereographic Projection 主要介绍了一种叫Stereographic Projection（球面投影）的投影方式，这算是一种很古老的的投影方式，原先被人们用来画地图，可以比较方便地在平面上表示空间向量和平面，有些鱼眼镜头也用这种投影方式成像。 详见http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereographic_projection 在这一章只是介绍了一点性质以及怎么画图算数（圆心半径之类） Chapter4 The Removability of Block 个人认为这才是这本书的重点，前面两章只不过是为了这一章做准备，后面的几章也只能算是这一章的详细应用。这一章介绍了两个定理：有限性定理和可移动性定理，当然还有证明。 关于最后几页提到的非凸块体的可移动性理论(Shi" Theorem for The Removability of Nonconvex Block)还不完善，只是提出了一个必要条件。 让我感到很不爽的是后面章节中分析非凸块体的时候用到的定理并没有在所谓的第四章中提到（虽然名义上声明“根据第四章中Shi" Theorem”，但这个定理只是一个必要条件，根本不能得到那些结论），也许是石根华老爷子在别的地方证明过而没有被我找到，后面Reference中提到的文章在地大也下载不到，所以感到无比纠结。 Chapter5 Joint Block 本章的前半部分讲了结构面的组合方式，算了算组合数，然后介绍了一种后面几章都会用到的JP的表示方法。关于最后给出的一个应用我表示没有完全理解，一方面是用到了一大堆没有介绍的随机裂隙分布方式，其中的那个截面图(Figure 5.23)更是让人不得其解，另一方面也许是因为个人理解能力有限，没有实际工程经验。但是最后那里例子得到的结论简直让人匪夷所思呀！这么多分析只得到了“the powder factor should be rather large”的结论。 Chapter6 Block Theory for Surficial Excavations 主要讲了在平面开挖中怎么判断一个JP是不是可移动的，具体内容就是应用Chapter4的内容，没有新意。 其中给出了一个应用的矢量法判断一个JP是否是可动的方式，看起来很简单，但是没有给出证明，目测证明比较显然，只不过要想想明白会比较麻烦。 后面还给出了一个选择最佳开挖面的方法，最后给出了一个小例子，例子比较有意思，但是得到的结论只能作为一个参考结论。 Chapter7 Block Theory for Underground Chambers 主要问题和前面一章一样，其中大量用到了上面提到的没有被证明的理论（没有被我找到证明的理论），所以看起来相当不舒服。 中间说了一个例子，用一个实际工程剖面来确定“Danger Zones”看起来比较有意思，但是如何在实际剖面上确定JP作者却没有具体说明，估计是主要依靠目测。 Chapter8 Block Theory for Tunnels and Shafts 介绍了Tunnel中的块体理论，其中提出了一个新的概念“Maximum Removable Area”，刚看的时候一知半解的，后来回头想想的确可以对实际的工程开挖提出一些建议（毕竟整个块体理论基本是用来给实际工程做指导的，只存在指导意义），后面提到的矢量方法看起来很简洁，但是没有证明（没证明，再好的方法也不敢用），用没有证明过的方法总有一种负罪感。 最后几页提到的东西和上面两章没什么两样。 Chapter9 The Kinematics and Stability of Removable Block 可移动块体的力学分析，虽然说这一章比较短，但是目测这是本书比较重要的部分，仅次于Chapter4，主要内容是用各种方法吧ⅠⅡⅢ类块体分开。 开头提到先把Ⅲ类块体和ⅠⅡ类块体分开，然后再把Ⅰ和Ⅱ型块体分开，但是事实上下面讲述的具体内容正好相反，这让整章的结构看起来比较混乱。但是作者提出的方法还是很有意思的，这一章的证明比较齐备，但是其分析移动方式时直接把外力和面或边平行的情况忽略了，也许是工程上这种情况比较罕见可以直接无视，但是至少要在书上提到一下呀！ 最后提到的极限受力分析很复杂的样子，没有细细研究，其提到的作图方法也没有证明。 这本书整体上介绍了块体理论的概念，但是其中有不少的小错误，并且内容的编写感觉没有那么紧凑，有很多东拉西扯的东西，没有一个清晰的脉络。 书中有很多摄影图，在80年代没有计算机辅助的情况下手绘那么多图还是比较繁琐的，感谢一下作者敬业的精神。 PS：附一个石根华老爷子的介绍 http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%9F%B3%E6%A0%B9%E5%8D%8E
