这类长句子遇到以后不用紧张,一般先进行成分分析~
例如这里的主语是 the demonstration and the effect
谓语是 resulted
宾语是后面那一串
那我们需要关注的就是空格集中在修饰effect的部分,这里定语从句省略了that,如果把that 加上去,原句就是,the effect that it brought...就是说这里缺少的是从句的一个主语~
就是it~
如果是that 或者which的话,定语从句是不成立的,因为定语从句的先行词that 和which后,必须是一句结构完整的句子,比如she is the girl that i like ,在that后面是一句主谓成分完整的句子,i like,而这里如果用that ,which,句子变成了 the effect that brought,在that后只有brought作为谓语,不成立~
而如果是what的话,这里之前的effect就不用出现了,可以说what it brought about resulted...因为已经有了effect所以用what就解释不通了,what主要是代替你没有说出的内容做主语.
