Dreams play an important role in our daily life and a good dream is the motivation to success. To realize a dream, one should learn to defeat difficulties through constant struggles as well as persistence.
Like most people, there was a time when I dreamed of being an excellent student in my English after entering junior middle school, though my English was very poor then. To catch up with my classmates, I made up my mind to learn English well and made pen-friends with some foreign students so as to practise my spoken English and improve my written English. dishonesty. The story shows us that honesty really is the best policy.
After reading this speech, I felt really sorry for the student who had thrown away his years of hard
work, great academic achievements and a promising future just for some short-term benefits. Now, he

Books are a treasure house of human wisdom. Almost all great people are great readers. Reading makes a person wise, noble, polite and useful. What’s more, reading can be a good means of recreation. If the book is interesting or suits you, you can find pleasure in reading it. Last but not the least, reading develops one’s imagination. In short, reading is an active and useful activity for everybody.
But today there is too much for us to watch on TV. There is no doubt that programs are lively and interesting, some of which bring us fun and make us relaxed. However, most TV programs are recreational and imaginary. They are not based on the real life. What’s worse, some violence does exist in some pragrammes. With harmful effects, such programmes can not help to enrich our knowledge.
In my opinion, reading benefits us greatly. I hope people, especially children, will read more and watch less TV.
