其实这两句话 你主要注意到了 both 和 are 两个词..其实他们的之间哪个在前哪个在后..没有很大的区别的必要..
看句子成分：
前一句 we are both quiet.
are为系动词 both 作为adv.来修饰quiet
后一句 we both are 10 years old.
are 同为系动词.both在这里为adj.修饰限定 we 证明是两个人.
所以重点是知道 both 既可以adj.也可以adv.还有n.等..所以应该注意的是 在句子中的成分需要..而不是一味的纯记忆..不利于英语的学习.
