八十年代,一个悲观的年代,至少在英伦及欧陆地下文化的层面上来说如此。在当时的独立音乐圈里,涌出一大批黑暗病态、风格邪异的乐队,他们的音乐源自于无尽的压抑,以及对生命的诅咒。Bauhaus,The Sisters Of Mercy,The Birthday Party,Alien Sex Fiend,Southern Death Cult,The Chameleons, Siouxsie And The Banshees,Clair Obscur,And Also The Trees┅┅实在 不用再列举更多的经典名字了,这些被视为绝望、邪气、颓废的乐队/乐手,从 Punk那种过激的破坏意识,反方向潜逃往一个内向而黑暗的世界--这就是那个占RockMusic 据了大半个八十年代的低调音乐时代。 依然未提到"哥特"这一字眼。其实,在八十年代初时,乐评文章或乐迷提到这类音 乐时,总没有一个确切的名称。"后朋克摇滚"、"低调音乐"、"恐怖摇摆"、"死亡派"┅┅这些都是人们早期对这种音乐戴上的头衔,至于"哥特摇滚"这一名称,则伴随着The Cult 、The Sisters Of Mercy 、The Mission、Fields Of Nephilim确立了Goth文化体糸而出观。 还是让我们再重新好好看看Goth/ Gothic这个词语吧。Goth,始于对公元三、四 世纪时侵略罗马帝国的日尔曼/野蛮人之民族的称呼;而由Goth衍生而出的Gothic ,原用于哥特教堂建筑上。它不仅是十二至十五世纪统治著西欧建坛的主流建筑 风格,在西方建筑史上占有重要的一席之地,更是当时教会统治下的中世纪"黑暗时代"(Dark Age)的代名词。枝干挺拔的外形充满了升腾的动势,而教堂内部 *** 著近似框架式的结构构件,筋骨嶙岣,窗子占满了支柱之间的整个面积,几乎 没有墙面,雕刻、壁画之类无所附丽,极其峻峭冷清的内部空间被巨大的彩色玻璃窗渲染得五色缤纷、光夺眼目∶这一切都体观著教会否定物质世界,宣扬"纯洁的 "精神生活的神秘主义论说教。德国的科隆主教堂,正是这种弃绝尘寰的宗教情绪的极致结晶。 而十八世纪初,在文艺复兴运动的推波助澜之下,哥特文学,这种充满奇异幻想的文学风格,更席卷至欧洲的文学体系内,同时亦默化了现今的文学思想及音乐的秩序。最后,作为一种完整的文化体糸的最终成形,在二十世纪的八十年代,哥特黑暗文化被正式纳入音乐的范畴内,而这次,它借用了更诡秘更激进的精神面貌与人们会面。哥特文化运动的发展经历了漫长的过程,并以一种间断跳跃的方式在各种艺术文化领域中植根生长,最后以哥特音乐的爆发标志著这一运动的完成,这与其他文化运动,如文艺复兴、启蒙运动、现代主义运动等的特征及过程毫不相同。令人不解的是为何在漫长的岁月里,几近枯竭的哥特基因仍能保存下来,并分别在不同领域萌芽生长?这应该与西方人类的社会心理结构与社会文化结构的构成与演进有着莫大的关系。但我们无法以短短数言便解开这一巨大谜团, 毕竟,这只是篇关于哥特摇滚的小文。 哥特摇滚在英国地下音乐圈的形态与演进,正犹如一派邪教降临大地般。它通过难以想像、天马行空的邪异素材来吸纳听众,这就不仅包括了在音乐上百花齐放的空前创造力,也包括了在视觉造型上,所给予人们的前所未有的剌激视觉体验。 中性化的身份造型,浓妆艳抹的打扮,这些并非新浪漫一族的专利。哥特仿佛是新浪漫的个性相反的孪生兄弟,是华美艳丽背后黑暗病态的一面。哥特中的经典 ,是Specimen的绝对异端形象,可惜Specimen只是一个"形象乐团",于音乐上并 未留下太大贡献。当然,还有Peter Murphy(Bauhaus)的瘦弱病气,Daniel Ash (Bauhaus)的箭猪式发型加鱼网装,Siouxsie Sioux(Siouxsie And The Banshees)的妖魅夸张眼线,Ian McCulloch(Echo & The Rock,是建筑于无意识的抽象表达而多于刻意性的音乐颠覆行为。 在荟荟众多哥特王朝的黑石圣像中,不可不提的是以下三支最具哥特黑色气味 的乐团∶Bauhaus,The Sisters Of Mercy以及The Birthday Party。追溯哥特摇滚的根源,来白英国Northingham市的Bauhaus绝对可称得上是Gothic Rock的鼻祖。这个最初名为The Craze,后来又一度更名作Bauhaus 1919的哥特之皇的音乐,永远与黑色和死亡紧紧缠绕着,在他们的音乐里包含了所有哥特元素的原型。更重要的是,Bauhaus成员的艺术学院背景,驱使他们把戏剧及表演 艺术的元素,融入乐队的音乐概念及现场演出之中。而Bauhaus这一名字,正来自于1919年成立于德国魏玛的国立威玛建筑学校(Das Staatlich Bauhaus Weimar,简称包浩斯Bauhaus)--一所对现代建筑艺术、工业设计以及工业美学具有深远影响力的建筑学校,同时也是现代主义建筑的发源地。(再一次的,哥特这一词语将音乐与建筑领域沟通起来。) 1979年,组建已两年的Bauhaus推出了首张单曲"Bela Lugosi"s Dead",一首色调阴森,长达9分钟的实验性杰作,并举行了一场伴随着黑暗灯光从及干冰烟雾的神秘现场演出,正式升起了哥特王国的国旗。在存在的六年中,Bauhaus在亲手建造的哥特王国中竖立起五座黑色大理石界碑--1980年的<In That Flat Field>,1981年的<Mask>,1982年的<The Sky"s Gone Out>和<Press The Eject And Hand Me The Tape>,1983年的 。主音歌手Peter Murphy混合著David Bowie及Iggy Pop的神经质病态造型,RockMusic 汲取自朋克音乐的演奏手法,旋律化且沉实抢耳的低音吉它,还有黑暗如哥特恐 怖小说的景象,Bauhaus标志著一个低调次文化的真正诞生。 中,已潜藏着丝丝艺术摇滚的气味,而过去他们也与别的艺术摇滚乐手合作过,如1981年时他们曾联同David Bowie录制了一首经典之作"Ziggy Stardust"。) 而今Peter已转至美国作个人发展,透过他的个人专辑,我们不难发现Peter已适应了美国的文化环境,并一步步地柔化了过去他所特具的那种邪异病态气质。 1983年夏天,吉它手Daniel Ash和鼓手Kevin Haskins在Bauhaus刚刚解散后就马上和新增的贝司手Glenn Campling组建了三人先锋实验组合Tones On Tail。 如果说Bauhaus最吸引乐迷的是他们现场表演的疯狂魔力,那Tones On Tail则完 全是以一种谨慎的演出与理性的姿态出现在大家面前。1985年圣诞,Bauhaus的原贝司手David Jay联络了旧战友Daniel Ash组建了Love And Rockets,而鼓手Kevin Haskins也随后驾到,这也同时宣告了T.O.T.的解散。L.A.R.这支由除 Peter Murphy以外的Bauhaus残余力量构成的乐队,1986年甫一组成便创作了两张唱片和EP。而后又以1987年的和1989年的两张光芒四射的专辑,宣告了L.A.R.地下生涯的结束。1994年,一张标志著L.A.R.新生命到来的<ot Trip To Heaven>又告诞生,在这张作品里,L.A.R.的探索之路开始迈向 太空领域,电子音效的大量捕捉使他们的音乐历程又跨入一个新阶段。1996年3 月,L.A.R.发表了十年来的第六张专辑,令人诧异地回归到传统 英伦吉它曲式上去。而吉它手Daniel Ash除了在T.O.T.和L.A.R.中辛勤劳作之外,也不忘同时开展个人事业。他在1991年和1992年发表了、<Foolish Thing Desire>这两张个人作品。1989年的、1992年的 Peace∶The Final Concert>和1998年的这三张精选现场专辑,再度勾起人们对Bauhaus这一消散以久的神话的缅怀。1998年,哥特乐迷们值得欢呼庆祝的一年。这不仅指Peter Murphy又推出一张EP, 而L.A.R.也录制了他们的新专辑。解散十五年的Bauhaus更在这年以原装 阵容重组,发表了专辑,并举行了一次巡回演出。昔日哥特王国的神 君再次君临大地。 哥特教父The Sisters Of Mercy,是与Bauhaus齐名的另一支重要哥特乐队。 而The Mission则是T.S.O.M.的一支分支乐队。当Rolling Stone的Keith在电视采访中大叫着"这个世界上最无聊的就是disco里的鼓机!我最讨厌的就是鼓机!"并在无数观众的面前用吉它砸碎了一台鼓机时,利兹市一个热爱汉语的小青年在自已租的一家药店地下室里装起了一套鼓机,日后当Andrew Eldritch这位" 哥特教父"回忆起1980年的这个开端时,带点嘲讽地悦∶"我依然没有学会打鼓,但至少我是城里唯一一个信得过的鼓手。"借助鼓机的帮忙,四个人就拉起一支乐队,成员包括Eldritch这位主唱和"鼓手",吉它手Gary Marx,队中的另一灵魂人物,第二吉它手Benn Gunn,贝司手Craig Adams,他的贝司演奏和鼓机一起决定着音乐的色彩。当时乐队名为Doktor Party这支黑暗暴力哥特的代表乐队,已有专文加以介绍,这 里主要对T.B.P.解散后的分支家族进行描述。 在T.B.P.于1983年解散后,乐队的两大分支--以"哥特之王"Nick Cave为首的 Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds和T.B.P.吉它手Rowland S. Howard的Crime & The City Solution便被Mute公司吸纳至旗下,后朋克与哥德异色亦从此进驻这间著名独立音乐厂牌。而T.B.P.遗种亦从此扎根发芽,游离于著名 德国工业噪音霸主Einsturzende Neubauten和The Bad Seeds的Blixa Bar geld,从Magazine走进The Bad Seeds又走出来的Barry Adamson,从Crime & The City Solution走出来有Simon Bonney及分支This Immortal Souls,还有横跨两支乐队的T.B.P.前吉它手、鼓手Mick Harvey,以及在T.B.P.时已扯上关系的女歌手Anita Lane,乃至由Barry Adamson发掘出来的Miranda Sex Garden┅┅这是一棵不可小视的家族树。 Nick Cave这位"哥特之王",从早年的异类狂魔形象,到今日悲天悯人的播爱者,他一直都是人们最熟悉的哥特形象代言人。Nick十五年来在黑色大地上留下的这串深深的脚印,证明了他永远都是我们紧紧追随的哥特君王。而在T.B.P.家族中活动面最广的,则应该是Mick Harvey。从The Boys Next Door自The Birthday Party到The Bad Seeds,Mick一直是 Nick最亲密的战友。而他不仅在上述这几支乐队及Crime & The City Solution这些T.B.P.家族乐队中担任过重要角色,也一直与和Anita Lane,PJ Harvey,Serge Gain *** ourg等著名乐手有着紧密合作关系。不要以为Mick只是 在配角的位置上工作,在Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds的专辑<My Trial>制作过程中,由于Barry Adamson的中途离去和鼓手Thomas Mydler折断了手臂,他基本上负责了全部的编曲和乐器演奏,包括了吉它、鼓、节奏吉它、钢琴、口琴、贝司、木琴和钟琴,而<My Trial>也被许多人认为是The Bad Seeds最出色的一张专辑。之后Mick又为数部欧洲电影及电视剧负责配乐,并结集发表了两张 个人专辑,继续将T.B.P.的暴力美学倾向往纵深发展。而之后他与其它艺人的不断合作中,我们不难看出Mick在音乐上超常的弹性,及至最近他与法国前辈Serge Gain *** ourg合作的<Man>中,在阴郁灰暗的哥特核心之外的,竟是美妙得近似perfect pop的音乐编排。现在的Mick,则更有意向Techno界进军。 还有不可不提的Barry Adams on,低调的视觉-声响艺术者。自1988年他与Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds分道扬镳之后,自1989年他的笫一张单曲"The Man With The Golden Arm"开始,Barry的音乐创作便一直渗透著一股浓黑的折衷主义实验味道。1989年他的首张专辑,以虚构的电影画面为基础,而专辑的副标题正是"Music To A Film That Never Was",通过丰富的想像力和对各种音乐素材非凡的融合力,Barry撰写着他心目中的电影配乐。在1991年的电 影制作中,给了他一次为真实存在的电影创作配乐的机会∶由侦探 紧张类型影片配乐,以至电子气氛、公路电影音乐、巴西爵士乐一应俱全。在真实的影像天地中驰骋过后,Barry再回到自已的电影世界中。这一次,他甚至 全力去营造一个暴力电影的音乐世界,带着暴力虐杀凄美的,于1992年诞生。在这张专辑中,着重配乐色彩的取向,富戏剧性的重复,人声广播对白的插入,Barry试验著不同音乐风格混进黑色元素的可能性,早在当时便发展完成一种通合于今天因由暴力美学引发的音乐气候,他当时的合作伙伴 ,则是著名美国地下乐队Dinosaur Jr.的主唱J Mascis。而1993年的六曲EP 专集内同样存在着Barry的音乐先觉,除一贯本色的HRockMusic 怀旧色彩与舞拍融合的侦探片音乐程式之外,在重唱Serge Gain *** ourg的一曲 "Je Taime┅Moi Non Puls"中Barry更用上当时仍十分"另类"的Trip Hop架构。至于Barry的新作,1996年的,从标题上即可看出 取材自古希腊神话的著名悲剧人物-- *** 的俄狄浦斯(Oedipus)。正反双方,专辑题目已有相互矛盾的意识,邪道与卫道,压抑与释放,从社会结构到个体自我。不甘寂寞的Barry这次邀来大批乐人与他一同建构这个沉郁的声色世界,除老朋友Nick Cave和同道中人前The Associates的主唱Billy McKenzie之外 ,还有Trip Hop界三巨头之一的Massive Attack三人,更有Pulp主音歌手Jarvis Cocker,甚至还翻玩了一首Miles Davis的经典作"Miles"。这是Barry最迷离的一部充满黑色调子的空中电影。 提起哥特文化形象,自然还有Batcave,当时这所夜店中,聚集的是一群极端标奇立异的黑暗分子,曾经是八十年代后朋克/哥特文化的焦点所在。上文所提及的经典哥特"形象乐团" Specimen,正是出身自Batcave夜店;而另一支发迹于Batcave的乐团Alien Sex Fiend,如病态版Alice Cooper的丧尸造型,音乐风格则被形容为"电子Bauhaus",在把死亡装扮推至最极端之余,更能在音乐 上突破常规,创造出一种即兴而癫狂的电子低调音乐,开De/Vision、Rain On Bamboo、Wolfshbeim一派EBM音乐之先河。而Batcave也成为黑暗舞池文化的发源地。 像一季暗晦的寒冬气候,我们被哥特文化侵占,在非人化的后工业现代社会里面,追逐著一种活着死亡的体验。同样存在着Barry的音乐先觉,除一贯本色的在那个悲观的八十年代里,Gothic这种栖身于主流文化的阴影里的次文化,其 影响力早已越过音乐的界限,成为一种生活方式,一种生活的态度,一个哥特信徒所追求的黑色国度。来到这个模糊的九十年代,今天的哥特摇滚已被解构得支离破碎、残缺不全,The Sisters Of Mercy,The Mission这些昔日的哥特守护神也早已离弃了他们的信徒。但是在今日的阴暗乐派(Dark-Wave)运动 中,在死亡民谣(Death Folk)、后工业噪音(Post-Industrial)、阴暗氛围音乐(Dark Ambient)以至新古典(Neo-Classical)这些形式主义的风格外壳之下 ,我们仍欣然发现Gothic依然是这些地下文化中最具生命力和影响力的遗传基因。 尼采在他的第一部著作《悲剧的诞生》中,用日神阿波罗和酒神狄奥尼索斯的象征来说明艺术的起源、本质和功用乃至人生的意义。日神精神沉湎于外观的幻觉,反对追究本体,酒神精神却要破除外在直观的幻觉,与本体沟通融合。前者用美的面纱遮盖人生的悲剧面目,后者揭开面纱,直视人生悲剧。前者教人不放弃人生的欢乐,后者教人不回避人生的痛苦。前者执著人生,后者超脱人生。前者迷恋瞬时,后者向往永恒。在艺术中,建筑是完全的日神艺术,而音乐则是纯粹的酒神艺术。日神精神与酒神精神的这两种决裂对立的精神本能 在西方人类个体的心理超我层面中的同时存在状态,是西方民族与东方民族在社会心理结构上的最根本差异,也是那阴郁的哥特基因能一直在西方社会心理 最底层潜伏的原因。只憧得"中庸"和"天人合一"的东方人,也许永远也体会不到酒神状态中那植根于人的至深本能的一种具有形而上深度的悲剧性情绪。肯定生命,连同它必然包含的痛苦和毁灭,与痛苦相嬉戏,从人生的悲剧性中获得审美 *** ,这就是尼采由悲剧艺术引伸出来的悲剧世界观。 "那时,所罗门说,耶和华曾说,他必住在幽暗之处。我已建造殿宇,作你的居所,你永远的住处。"

Chantake: 都是些很繁琐的细节。以《死亡微笑》为例,原来的家用主机版在过关后会重置天使少女的位置,而街机版则是从天使少女打败头目的位置开始下一关。本次将家用机版修改为了和街机版一样的设定。 另外在街机版中,特定角色的横扫攻击方式在过关时仍保持原来的发射角度,而此前的家用机版则会重置发射角度,因而影响到玩家的得分,于是我们对这一点也进行了修正。这些细节的修改虽然很难感觉到差异,不过街机版的攻略套路也因此得以复活。 —— 确实很细节……吉川先生一开始就确信 Chantake 先生能注意到这些细微差异吗? 吉川: 是的。我觉得可以每隔几年就给 Chantake 丢一次这种兼具专业性和挑战性的工作。估计他也会抱着万分期待,心中暗喜「终于来了啊!」(笑)。 Chantake: 我自然是想着「要全力以赴」,但是最初还是有点不知所措…… 吉川: 直到几年前 Chantake 都还是 CAVE 射击 游戏 的玩家,而且也很喜欢 CAVE 的作品,你忽然要他制作一款超越原公司的作品,他肯定会感到烦恼。 —— Chantake 先生玩了多久《死亡微笑》呢? Chantake: 老实说我并没有在《死亡微笑》上花太多时间,最多就是尝试挑战过一币通关的程度。借着这次移植工作的机会才开始认真审视本作,在获取 Steam 版成就和刷分挑战的过程中逐渐加深了对本作理解。 —— 看来是一边移植一边加深理解,那您觉得本次的任务完成得如何呢?
