(口语，不一定符合语法),美国英语口语中并不一定符合英语语法。,Let"s go see a movie之类的句子，书面写出来是错误的，但在口语中则是没有问题的，反而接近美国人口语的风格。,口语和我们所学的书面英语是有很大的区别的。这就决定了学习口语的思路和我们以往学习书面英语的方法是不一样的。,二、学习目标：,明白什么叫口语（Spoken English）,我们课程的目标是让大家做到心口如一，即让同学们能够将心里想的东西准确的用英语表达初来。,三、两个基本概念：,1、语言是什么,语言不是词汇的堆积，也不是词汇+语法的组合，语言和文化有着密切的关系。,例如：当我们听不懂别人的讲话时，中国人常会问“什么”，一激动就会用what [hwu0254t]，这会让外国人感到反感。,“What” in American English is very strong and challengeable word. (很强挑衅意味),如果大家真的没听懂，可以用 I beg your pardon. 或者 Excuse me. 或者 变调的what[弱hwu0259t]。,2、个性（personality），个性是口语中不可忽略的一个因素,在动态的个性的表现中平衡人们之间的个性差别，把语言说得更有人性化，就是个性的含义。语言里必须加上个性、加上人性，离开这一点是不能说好一门语言的。,个性分为两种：,1）positive;,2）negative,You are always waiting. You are always waiting some guy e to you, talk to you, and practise English with you.,中国学生总是等待老师提出问题，他们去回答。学习口语要避免negative的个性，个性的改变不是短期的事情，而是一个长期的、渐进的过程。,You could be someone to ask.,如果能够把英语的思维学过去，你可以等同于你重新做人，因为它与汉语的思维完全不同，它会影响你生活的方方面面。,例如：flirt 挑逗，调戏,Did you ever flirt with girls? 你挑逗过女孩吗？,对于此问题的回答，中国绝大多数都会是“没有”。因为这种事情不符合汉语文化的价值观，挑逗是个负面词汇，感觉已流氓。但是很多美国人会好不羞愧的说，yes, of course, I flirt with a lot of girls. 在美国要是回答no, 会认为你是gay, 他们认为flirt是一种很正常的人类行为。,学习口语会改变人的个性和想法。如果学习很多语言的人，会达到一个international的状态。,四、学习口语的三个步骤：,1、Open your mouth and challenge your personality.,张开你的嘴，挑战自己的个性。,在这一步的时候我们要关注的不是语言本身，而是自身的个性和心态。,练习方法：Hello and Goodbye 法,当面对外国人不知如何开口的时候，可以用“hello”打招呼。如果真的不知道接下来该如何说，可以用Goodbye结束。这种方法可以让你快速的起步。,练习数量的要求至少为30个人。,这种方法虽然不会带来语言上的提高，却可以改变你的心态。,2、Better the quality of your conversation and practice more skills.,提高你的对话质量和练习更多的技巧,1）Better the quality 指的是改正第一步中可能出现的语法错误。,有的同学书面语很好、语法很好，但是说英文的时候语法会一塌糊涂。口语我们需要凌空驾驭，在说之前，脑子里就要对语言进行更正。,2）practise more skills 是指使自己的谈话方式更加接近于美国人，无论是思维上，还是语言上。,英语口语的六种技巧：,how do you define; how to explain; how to describe; how to guess; how to interpret; how to use idioms,3、Develop your thoughts with native speakers and bee more international,美国的六种价值观念：,individual freedom; self-reliance; equality of opportunity; petition; material wealth; hard work,价值观念的学习可以让我们明白，在口语的学习上，我们不能单纯的靠背诵大量的词句。光靠背是不行的，而要了解他为什么要这样说。,例如：中国女孩在抱怨自己男友时会说：,你根本没有想着我！,美国女孩表达同样的意思会说：,I am not on your mind!,这两句话的差别是：中国女孩从“你”的角度出发，而美国女孩则是从“I”的角度出发。产生这种差别的根源就是两种文化的价值观不同。,五、学口语的四个台阶：,1、英语角（English corner）,处于第一阶段的同学可以去英语角，但是很难练习出真正的英语来。因为那里的中国同学比较多，大家有相同的思维方式。英语角主要是联系自己的个性和性格。英语角适合于比较害羞的同学。,2、旅游区（tourist place）,旅游区适合没有心里障碍的同学，心里打击也会比较小，这样的场所可以让人很快的进入一种语言环境，产生交流的兴奋感。,这两个阶段不需要太多准备。我们的目的是“practise English”。,3、大学校园（university campus）,4、商业区（business region）,3,4阶段的练习需要进行一定的准备。这个阶段的思路必须是“Let"s talk! Let me tell you what I am thinking. I want to understand you.” 更加要注重的一种交流，理解别人与被人理解。,这一阶段要注意三个词： open, develop, close, 即打开话题，发展话题，结束话题三个阶段，以及各个阶段需要注意的地方。,最忌讳的open的方式：Can I practice English with you?
