R．即Franklin Delano Roosevelt（富兰克林· 罗斯福）等。 ⑥ 口语中对一个人怎样称呼才算合适、得体，则看具体场合、关系而定。过去晚，辈对长辈，从不直呼其名；现在有少数青年人，不论对父母还是师长，均直呼其名不讳。已婚妇女一般不用原姓，用丈夫姓名冠以Mrs 一词。例如女子Mary Lakins 与男子John Cumings 结婚，女方改称Mrs. John Cumings 或Mrs. Cumings（约翰· 卡明斯夫人或卡明斯夫人）。也可在夫姓前写自己本名以代替夫名，如Mary Cumings。丈夫死后的妇女，就不再用丈夫的名字，必须写成Mrs. Mary Cumings。现代提倡女权的妇女，则有破旧俗，用原姓的。 ⑦英国贵族姓名，常加上其封地名，如Lord Greenhill Harrow（哈罗· 格林希尔勋爵），习惯上也可写为Lord of Harrow ，其中Harrow 是地名。 ⑧以上说明，同样适用于加拿大、澳大取亚、新西兰的英语姓名，也适用于英联邦一部分成员国中使用英语姓名的白人移民。 二、法国人姓名 ( 1 ）法国人的姓名排列次序为名在前，姓在后。例如Guy Mollet（居伊· 摩勒），第一个词为名，第二个词为姓。 ( 2 ）法国从中世纪起，婴儿出生后，都要到教堂受洗礼，由神父起教名，教会只承认每个人的教名。教名为数不很多，同名现象时有发生，人们往往在教名后面加上居住的地名、出生地名、职业或外貌特征等，作为姓名的一个组成部分。1539 年法朗索瓦一世规定户籍簿中必须记明新生儿的教名及其父母的教名。此后法国人的姓名一般由本人教名和父名或家族名（也就是姓）组成。1804 年颁布的《 法国民法典》 规定，全体公民必须代代相承使用一个不变的家姓。法国贵族和上层社会成员，往往在姓之前冠以领．地名或爵位等头衔；一般平民除本人名字外，还有长辈起的名字，有时多达四、五个。后来渐趋简化，只保留两三个词构成姓名。姓一般只有一个词，名一般由一个词或两个词构成，通常选取较重要的教名（第一个名字）或姓之前的名。例如：Henri Renè Albert Guy de Maupassant（亨利· 勒内· 阿尔贝· 居伊· 德· 莫泊桑），一般称Guy de Maupassant，即为取胜之前的名。又如Charles André Joseph Marie de Gaulle（夏尔· 安德烈· 约瑟夫· 马里· 戴高乐），简化为Charles de Gaulle，即为取第一个名字。 ( 3 ）许多法国人的名姓之间，介有de 一词，这是最初用来表示贵族出身的介词，现已失去原来意义。近年来，法国人姓名译成中文时，趋向于将de 字音译不单独书写，合并在姓前，如de Gau lle（戴高乐）、Couve de Mirrville（顾夫· 德姆维尔）等。 ( 4 ）许多法国人的姓前，往往还有冠词Le, La。如La Fontaie 和Le Goff 等，译成中文时，也往往与姓连译，写成拉方丹和勒戈夫。 ( 5 ）法国人的名字中，有些为女子专用，有些则为男子专用。Jacques （雅克）、Pierre（皮埃尔）、Georges（乔治）、Jean（让）、Louis （路易）等为男子专用名，而Rosc（萝丝）、Irène（伊雷娜）、Anne（安娜）、Jeanne（让娜）、Louise（路易丝）等则为女子专用名。 ( 6 ）法国妇女婚后一般姓夫姓，尤其当其被称呼为某某夫人时。但也可保留娘家的姓。在重要文件中记名时，除夫姓外，要记娘家的姓。如名叫Louise Cotty （路易丝· 科蒂）的女子同Jean Dupont（让· 杜邦）结婚后，姓名全称是Louise Dupont nèe Cotty（路易丝· 杜邦· 科蒂），其中nèe为出生在某某家。 ( 7 ）法国人也有复姓。例如Mendès-France（孟戴斯· 弗朗斯）、Joliot-Curie（约里奥一居里）。复姓书写时，通常用短横线将两个姓连在一起。译成中文时，一般也用短横线排接，不用翻译外国人姓名常用的中圆点。复姓的原因多种多样。有的是将夫妇两人的姓合在一起，如Jo1iot-Curie 就是用丈夫Frederic Joliot（弗雷德里克· 约里奥）和妻子Irène Curie（伊雷娜· 居里）两个人的姓合成的，其书写顺序，一般夫姓在前，妻姓在后。 三、德国人姓名 ( 1 ）德国人的姓名排列次序为名在前，姓在后。例如Konrad Adenauer （康拉德· 阿登纳），第一个词为名，第二个词为姓。 ( 2 ）德国人的名字相同的很多，男性的名字和女性的名字有区别。例如Johannes （约翰内斯）、Peter （彼得）、Nikolaus （尼古劳斯）等为男子专用名；Elisabeth （伊丽莎白）、Margarete （玛格丽特）等为女子专用名。 ( 3 ）德国人的名字大多是单一的，也有少数是复名。 ( 4 ）德国人的姓的形成，有的是沿用古日耳曼语中的名字和《 圣经》 中的名字作姓；有的源于地区，例如Bayer（拜尔）、Schwab（施瓦布）；有的来自自然环境，例如Bach（小河）、Berg （山脉）；有的取自住宅前的标志，例如Adler（鹰）、Engel（天使）；有的是职业或人体特征，如Winzer（种葡萄的人）、Goldschmidt（金匠）、Klein（矮子）Schwarz（黑人）等。 ( 5 ）东西德均有法律规定，婚后家庭的姓，就是其子女的姓。婚后家庭的姓，可以用男方原姓，也可以用女方原姓，但习惯以前者居多。有时也用夫妻两人的姓构成复姓，例如Karl SChmidt-Rottluff（卡尔· 施密特一罗特鲁夫）这个复姓系父母双方的姓合成。
