失色，颇含博弈成分的结果反倒时常给人“惊喜”。《幽浮》系列自诞生以来几乎都在持续地推出新作，但其实国内玩家接触的大多都是近几年的作品。这其中包含了多重 历史 原因，而《幽浮》的起源也并不是一帆风顺… 《幽浮》的发展史主要可以分为多个阶段。而这一切的一切，都要从一个叫做朱利安·盖洛普（Julian Gollop）的人说起。 “幽浮之父”朱利安和他的《镭射小队》 系列的迷茫与歧途 在朱利安完全交出《幽浮》版权之后，戴夫·艾利斯（Dave Ellis）接替他成为了新的设计师。MicroProse推出的第一款新《幽浮》，是一款飞行射击 游戏 ，叫做《幽浮:拦截机》（XCOM: Interceptor）。然而 游戏 最终的素质非常普通，与市场上同类型的 游戏 相比毫无竞争力。一反传统玩法的 游戏 类型也让系列粉丝们感到无所适从。 游戏 2K接手，凤凰涅槃 而Infogrames在获得《幽浮》这个IP后，并没有展开什么动作，系列由此进入一段沉寂期。多年之后，2K Games出手从Infogrames手里收购了包括《幽浮》和《文明》在内的多个IP，而席德梅尔离开MicroProse后创立的Firaxis工作室也被2K一并收入囊中。 就这样，在机缘巧合之下，席德梅尔又重新回到了他一手造就的《文明》系列。的确，《文明》系列在被2K收购后，在席德梅尔的带领下又重新焕发生机，成功延续了系列的传承薪火。但是你可能不知道，Firaxis工作室里还有一位与席德梅尔亦师亦友的角色，杰克·所罗门（Jake Solomon）。 《幽浮》在被2K收购之后，交由席德梅尔所在的Firaxis工作室开发，当时Firaxis工作室开发的重点肯定是席德梅尔操刀的《文明》。于是《幽浮》的工作就落在了杰克·所罗门身上。所罗门接手《幽浮》其实并非偶然，他从小就是一位疯狂的《幽浮》粉丝。还在上学期间的他就经常在睡觉之前玩上好几个小时的《幽浮》。他的父母曾希望他能够进医学院成为一名医生，但当时正处于 游戏 开发的黄金年代，所罗门毫不犹豫地钻进了计算机学院，并发誓要开发出一款像《幽浮》一样的 游戏 。毕业后的所罗门来到了席德梅尔的工作室，并在席德梅尔的帮助下正式开始了 游戏 开发工作，两人的关系亦师亦友，亲切紧密。 接手《幽浮》项目的所罗门在当时刚刚毕业没几年，工作经验和阅历都不是非常老道。他费劲心思，最后的成品仅仅是一个简陋的原型。《幽浮》中该出现的UFO等元素全都没有。很快Firaxis宣布暂时关闭《幽浮》这个项目。“我做了一个比任何人都烂的 游戏 原型”所罗门这样评价他的第一次尝试。 在随后的四年里，所罗门吸取教训勤学苦练，想要再次担任 游戏 的设计。他白天开发《文明》，晚上编写《幽浮》的代码，日以继夜。一年之后，他再次展示了《幽浮》的原型Demo。这次的结果比上次要好一些，《幽浮》的系列粉丝们非常喜欢这款 游戏 ，但是对于其他人来说则没有那么感兴趣。 这整个 游戏 因为添加了过多的元素而显得繁杂臃肿。所罗门表示，“我不知道自己在想什么。这是一款忠于原作的 游戏 ，但是我又在里面加入了角色能力、掩体系统、外星 科技 等等。这已经不能说是复杂了，简直就是繁杂。复杂是有趣的，但是繁杂就会无趣。”在随后的日子里，所罗门经常去询问导师席德梅尔的意见。终于，所罗门开始以新的视角审视这款 游戏 ，在席德梅尔的指导下他发现了自己的问题所在。 经过了忙碌的开发周期，重启后的《幽浮:未知敌人》终于在2012年问世。 游戏 一经推出便受到了如潮的好评， 游戏 奇美拉小队和敌人的行动都是在同一条时间线中进行的，干员顺序的选择就成了制定计划的关键要素。某些干员或敌人可变更在行动顺序中的位置，比如奇美拉小队中一局只能运用一次的“合作”能力，你可以选择一名小队干员，使其直接跳到行动顺序的顶部，突袭敌人，或是逃脱升天。
