因为善良故事缘于一起平常的交通事故。那时我在居民小区从事物业管理工作，接到消息后第一时间赶到现场。现场很恐怖，一辆小四轮货车下面是一辆自行车和它的主人，静静地躺在一摊鲜血中。肇事的小四轮司机已不知去向。据目击者说，司机下车看了一眼车下，立刻拨打了120急救电话，就失魂落魄地离开了现场。救护车与交警还未赶到，受害人突然自己从车下爬了出来。我们才发现他满身的“血”竟然是辣椒酱，明显的外伤只有左腿骨折。他口齿清晰地告诉我，他是郊区农民，是骑车来小区卖辣椒酱的，刚才是被吓晕了，自己伤得并不重。救护车与交警同时赶到。医生立刻对伤者进行了检查，结论是左腿被轧，其他部位看不出伤有多重，当然还要去医院做更详细的检查。我长舒了一口气，看来是虚惊一场。现在我要做的是帮助交警立刻找到那位肇事司机。可就在这时，传来一个令人震惊的消息，肇事司机跑到一栋居民楼四楼的楼梯阳台上，然后纵身一跃。真是节外生枝。从一个现场赶到另一个现场，那场景再次让人大吃一惊。那位司机好好地站在那里号啕大哭，却有一位退休工人倒在地上。故事到这里就有点离奇，当肇事司机翻越护栏的时候，正好这位退休工人路过。情急之下他竟然勇敢地冲向前去，一把接住了那个坠落的身体。结果被救者安然无恙，老工人却折断了两根肋骨。整个事件因为老工人的见义勇为而变得富有传奇色彩，也就有了所谓的“新闻眼”。可当我的一位朋友采访老工人，问他事后有没有害怕时，他的回答是那样的朴实：“我不能眼见着一个生命在自己眼前消失，他要重跳一次，我还得接！”故事是结束了，可本来很平常的事故，因为意外的原因，使它的善后处理变得错综复杂。这位司机穷得家徒四壁，上有老母下有妻儿，就靠他一人的收入养家，单位为了照顾他，才让他开小四轮，跑跑厂里的短途运输。所以面对飞来横祸，他心如死灰，只有一个念头：死！那位老工人更令人敬佩，当他了解到司机的家境后，拒绝了一切赔偿，自己付了医药费。而最让人担心的是那位受伤的农民，他完全可以在医院躺个一年半载，直到肇事方满足他的要求。这样的例子很多。但事情的进展完全出乎我的意料，那天司机去医院探望伤者，当时有人问了他一个问题：“你自己都不想活了，为什么还记得打120去救他？”他显然毫无准备，愣了一下说：“万一他还有救呢？”就因为这句话，感动了我们，也感动了伤者。第二天他就坚持要出院，他说：“咱回家养着，咱可不能讹人家！”如今想起来，整件事的顺利解决，如果说有什么重要因素，那只能是——善良。善良是人性中最基本的品格，也是人性里最为朴素的美。只有在善良的土壤里，才能开出一切更为崇高的品德之花。我们不能苛求每一个平凡的人，都用崇高的品德感天动地，但如果我们做到人人心存善良，那么这个世界就一定会更美好。
