“电脑还将瘫痪多长时间？”我想知道。
“我不知道。有时是10分钟，有时是两个小时。除了问电脑自己我们无法确切的知道具体情况，但是一旦它出故障了它是不会告诉我们的。”
在那个女孩告诉我们说他们没有备用的电脑后，我对她说：“让我们忘了那电脑，现在告诉我你们的计划，他们仍是要乘飞机的，不是吗？”
“没有电脑我无法告诉你们情况。”
“除了接下来几小时的班机，是否还有其他飞往华盛顿的航线呢？”
“我不知道”，她一边指着黑屏的电脑一边说“只有它知道，但它无法告诉我。”
这时，有相当一部分人排队站着等候。关于电脑出故障的事情马上传到了其他乘客们的耳朵里。一些人很生气，一些人开始哭泣，其他人踢了踢他们的行李。
