　　一年前的7月31日，丁焱的三十岁生日过得并不宁静：她以一家中日合资公司副总经理的身份向日本总部提请辞呈，并回到国内。彼时，这位生于1980年初的上海女孩心中正展开着一场激烈的自我变革。 　　离开“被安排”的人生轨迹，在一期一会的人生中做自己，只是，是先去读书还是立即创业，已经跨入而立之年的她有些犹豫。 　　在申请商学院的过程中，她看到斯坦福一篇Essay，“What matters you most（此刻什么最重要）？”这个命题神奇地成为了她的人生选择的指南针，让她开启了在移动互联网领域的创业之旅—ApeHills Inc.(简称“猿山”)不久后诞生了。2012年7月31日，在中关村，丁焱向《环球企业家》杂志回溯那段日子，话语很从容。 　　在丁焱眼里，猿山应该有来自世界各国的产品经理，通过集思广益带来多样化的商业模式，并且坚持有趣而简单(Fun&Easy)的产品理念。但这不是旅程的终点，她的愿景是做一家最能培养人才的公司：吸引有梦想爱拼搏的年轻人，通过做力所能及的事，积极地改变世界—“这其实是一项教育工作。培养的是相信理想，挑战自我，团队配合的精神。我要用亲身经历让他们发现内心的passion，然后每努力一步，就可以离理想更近一步。”丁焱?说。 　　“Start something that matters” 　　按照世俗的生存路径，30岁的女生结婚生子才是天经地义的事。所以当丁焱决心创业时，几乎听不到支持的声音，按照丁焱母亲的说法：“她肯定是不想好好过日子了。”但对于“不撞南墙不回头”的女儿，父母能做的只有默默支持。 　　这种发现内心激情的旅途，很能吸引优秀的85后90后的一代人。她的创业伙伴（她叫他们“小朋友”）便包括在内。清华美院研究生毕业的尹家鸣和目前还是北航研究生的王一泓，他们都曾在丁焱之前的中日合资公司里实习过。“正是因为遇见他们，才让我对未来很有信心，相信只要把这些优秀的新生力量拧成一股绳，创新力+执行力，下一个互联网的重大创新就会在中国产生。” 　　2011年10月，三人一起创办了ApeHills Inc.，初始资金除丁焱的个人投资以外，两位“小朋友”也是各尽所能出钱出力。其中尚未毕业的王一泓认真制作了人生第一份商业计划书，成功获得了父亲的投资。11月，丁焱专程去了趟日本，为寻找志同道合者积极寻访各种人脉，其中曾是她在索尼公司上司的日本人安彦，带着同样的热情认真地听了计划，并成为了公司的第一位“天使”投资人。 　　丁焱与伙伴用三个关键词给猿山定下了基调：年轻，创新和速度。就在公司正式成立前，三人做了第一款产品：OMG美语。目前在iOS、安卓及WP平台都发布了应用，下载总量及微博粉丝已有几十万。 　　这款产品源于一位生活在华盛顿名叫白洁的美国女孩，自编自导自演了一档美语口语视频节目，每周周一到周五，每天两到三分钟的时间，通过互联网向中国的年轻人介绍当下美国年轻人时兴的口语。节目播出仅一周，就引起了猿山三人的注意，他们都觉得这个节目很符合移动互联网的特点，而且也符合自己的产品理念。 　　于是他们首先在微博上注册了OMG美语粉丝团，并亲自为白洁画卡通头像，再通过微博送给她。“她的粉丝很多，我觉得她不一定能注意到我们。”后来丁焱发现，白洁把她的Facebook头像换成那张漫画，没多久，白洁主动联系丁焱。就这样，这位美国女孩从一个遥远的互联网偶像，成了猿山人民的好朋友。 　　“她带给我们创业之初的灵感，走进我们的团队，从陌生到叫得出每一个人猿的中文名字，从交流网络流行语到一起谈论梦想到感动落泪。关于这个长得像洋娃娃一样说一口流利中文的美国妞，我有太多话想说，关于人与人的沟通超越国界和语言，关于年轻人的心彼此相通，关于梦想与创业……”，提起OMG美语与猿山不可思议的“猿粪”，丁焱觉得最核心是证明了互联网的无国界，以及Nothing is impossible（一切皆有可能）这个心灵基石。 　　“Innovate or die” 　　早期做的尝试为猿山的方向与定位打下基础。除了OMG美语这种内容创新的产品以外，猿山对创新的理解还有渠道及模式。其中，为何从日本市场切入并获得成功便是一例。 　　2012年5月，团队参加微软云加速器的选拔活动，丁焱代表公司到微软研究院指定的办公室演讲并做产品演示。当时在场的包括微软亚洲研究集团主席张亚勤、IDG投资人以及云加速器的负责人等，丁焱主要讲解了两款面向日本市场的英语教育软件。 　　“女性创业对人的感受会更强一些。”云加速器总经理林为千认为女性在从用户角度看问题上，在对企业的产品服务的设计以及市场的敏感度上更能引起共鸣。第一次见到丁焱时，林为千颇为惊讶。这位看上去像小女生的CEO在讲起公司及产品时，条理清晰。比如她描述公司为什么要先做日本市场—起步阶段的创业公司要用较稳妥的方式，开拓有把握并且竞争不那么激烈的市场。 　　在日本，无论是大学毕业生还是职场男女，都会被要求去参加英语托业(TOEIC)考试，在这个刚性需求的前提上，当时日本Appstore教育榜前一百名里甚至有80多款都是关于英语教育的APP。丁焱的团队将这些软件全部研究了一遍，“这些即有产品的用户体验，对我来说是不够打动人，用小朋友的话说是弱爆了。” 　　在日本工作生活多年的丁焱十分清楚，日本人背单词习惯用单语帐，在一个小环上有许多小卡片，正面是日语，反面是英语。于是他们决定把这形式搬到手机上。在界面设计上，用草绿色搭配木质质感，这是日本人普遍接受的色调；在用法上，包括一些小测试，日文与英文互选，用户可以把不会的单词收藏下来。2011年12月底，猿山的单语帐在日本市场推出，到2012年1月1日，在日本Appstore的教育榜排第一名，在Appstore综合榜单上，排进前15名。随后单语帐又加上收费模式发音包，由OMG美语的白洁亲自配音。 　　渠道创新的尝试，还体现在“Bookfaces（似颜绘）”这款产品上，这是一款笼络全球100多位漫画画家的O2O订单管理系统。日本人喜欢街头小漫画，这也是丁焱的团队打算做似颜绘的出发点：发现只有在日本才存在的niche市场，通过更实惠的价格，更完美的服务，打造智能手机平台上第一家似颜绘商店。用户下载安装似颜绘软件之后，根据自己的喜好选择或卡通或写实的漫画风格，随后从手机相册里选择自己的照片或者用手机直接拍一张，就可以定制基本头像、服装，甚至是漫画的场景和姿势，定制好的漫画可以通过Facebook、Twitter进行分享。
