秒差距(pc)是一种最古老的，同时也是最标准的测量恒星距离的方法。

【PC概述】

一种设计用于六次由七个人使用的计算机。个人计算机不需要共享其他计算机的处理、磁盘和打印机等资源。

PC (personal computer)，个人计算机一词源自于1978年IBM的第一部桌上型计算机型号PC，在此之前有Apple II的个人用计算机。能独立运行、完成特定功能的个人计算机。个人计算机不需要共享其他计算机的处理、磁盘和打印机等资源也可以独立工作。今天，个人计算机一词则泛指所有的个人计算机、如桌上型计算机、笔记型计算机、或是兼容于IBM系统的个人计算机等。

在计算机的发展史上，曾经有十段时间，计算机依功能与体积大小而被划分为：超级计算机、大型计算机（巨型机）、中型计算机、小型计算机、微型计算机。计算机在被发明后的20年内，一般以巨型机为主，一般来说，程序员负责编程，而有专门的录入人员负责录入与输出。因此，微型计算机的普及与广泛应用，应归功于Apple电脑的发明（苹果电脑公司的创始人乔布斯成立公司后的产品），以及IBM公司出品的PC机，因此，PC机与Apple机的区别在于：一个是使用DOS操作系统，另一个则是使用的苹果机专有的操作系统。

由于苹果机只是独家生产，而IBM公司却将其产品的各个模块组件的标准予以公布，从而，其他公司可以根据这些接口标准生产具备兼容性的计算机，从而，PC机与兼容机的概念开始流行。

因此，PC机与苹果机，分别代表两种类型的机器。同时，也产生了兼容机的概念。兼容机是指兼容IBM PC的计算机。

由上可见，PC机与苹果机同属于微型计算机（简称微机）

【PC的诞生】

1981年8月12日是一个普通的日子，但对全球计算机产业来说则是一个值得纪念的日子。在这一天，IBM公司正式推出了全球第一台个人计算机——IBM PC，该机采用主频4.77MHz的Intel 8088微处理器，运行微软公司专门为IBM PC开发的MS-DOS操作系统。

虽然早在IBM PC推出之前，天才神童“百科帽子”就已经在自家的车库里拼装出了世界上第一台微型计算机，使计算机从“蠢笨的大铁柜”变成人人伸手可及的小型机器。但是，IBM PC的诞生才真正具有划时代的意义，因为它首创了个人电脑（Personal Computer）的概念，并为PC制订了全球通用的工业标准。它所用的处理器芯片来自Intel公司，DOS磁盘操作系统来自由32人组成的微软公司，不久之后就催生了微软和Intel这两大PC时代的霸主。直到今天，“IBM PC及其兼容机”始终是PC工业标准的代名词。为促使PC产业的健康发展，IBM对所有厂商开放PC工业标准，从而使得这一产业迅速地发展成为20世纪 80年代的主导性产业，并造就了Compaq等一大批IBM PC“兼容机”制造厂商。PC产业由此诞生。

【PC发展史】

记录了PC平台在发展和形成的20年风雨历程中所经历的25个重要事件和著名的失误。

1981年

1. PC登场：在1981年时投资开发个人计算机是一件风险很大的事情。当时开发的个人计算机有好几种，IBM PC也并不是其中的第一台,但是IBM PC却是由当时备受尊重的公司推出的第一台PC。

1983年

2. Lotus公司的1-2-3电子表格软件：Lotus公司的1-2-3电子表格软件变成了PC的第一个受到众人喜爱的应用程序。是菜单和屏幕上的帮助这样一些革命性的概念帮助Lotus获得了如此巨大的成功。

3. 克隆战争：Compaq的便携PC使得PC有了独立于IBM的标准。

4. 摆脱笨拙的软盘束缚：IBM发布了PC/XT，这是个人计算机第一次有了硬盘驱动器作为标准设备。

5. PCjr——倒霉的后辈：IBM试图用PCjr进入家用市场。但过高的价格、太低的扩展能力和其臭名昭著的键盘使这个系统失败了。

1984年

6. Mac开始引导潮流：Apple公司的Macintosh计算机诞生。忠诚于PC的人们对Macintosh的鼠标和图形界面冷嘲热讽，但是后来的PC却越来越朝着Mac的风格发展。

7. 架构大调整：IBM重新推出的新品是PC AT。这是第一台采用Intel的286芯片的PC，AT也显示了全新的16位总线和内嵌时钟。

1985年

8. Windows 1.0以失败告终：Windows 1.0发布，这是一次确定无疑的失败。该操作系统的第一个版本一点儿也不讨人喜欢，它不能正确地执行多任务；其运行速度之慢简直就像是一只被黏胶粘着的蜗牛。

1986年

9. Compaq推出基于386芯片的PC：这一事件代表了两次变革:其一，Compaq用基于Intel的具有绝对优势的386芯片的PC击败了蓝色巨人；其二， IBM的PC市场控制地位开始动摇。

1987年

10. OS/2欲取代DOS未获成功：IBM公司引入了想要成为DOS替代品的OS/2和PS/2。PS/2是作为基于一种全新的体系结构（称为微通道——MicroChannel）的PC而推出的。无论是OS/2还是PS/2，这两种产品都未能产生长久的影响。

1990年

11. IBM与Microsoft离婚：两个巨人开始了各自独立的行程。IBM以OS/2为手杖，而Microsoft则全力推行Windows。

12. 三次努力终于成就了Windows：Windows终于流行起来：这是由于Windows的3.0版本改进了外观，多任务能力更好了。1991年的Windows 3.1和1993年的Windows for Workgroup 3.11延续了这个趋势。

13. 捆绑办公软件：Microsoft把Word、Excel和PowerPoint绑到一起，改变了应用程序的销售方法，慢慢地削弱竞争对手（例如1-2-3）的实力，使它们跟不上潮流。

14. 美国走向在线：一个称为AOL的在线服务企业在这一年走入了PC的世界，人们不再需要借助于技术专家的帮助就可以读e-mail了。

15. Linux：芬兰的大学生Linus Torvalds开发了一个类似Unix的操作系统，并用自己的名字为其命名，向外分发。全世界都对Linux的出现报以热烈的欢迎。

1992年

16. 声霸卡面世，多媒体诞生：Creative公司的声卡Sound Blaster 16问世， PC的声音不再意味着只是小小的2英寸喇叭。加上日益流行的CD-ROM驱动器，多媒体诞生了。

1993年

17. 586 CPU芯片改用Pentium的名字推出：由于法庭判决Intel的竞争对手可以称它们的芯片为386，Intel决定为其功能强大的新CPU命名为Pentium（奔腾）。

18. Windows NT发布：第一个脱离了DOS的Windows——Windows NT发布。但是太庞大，而且有许多Windows应用软件都不能运行，所以Microsoft介绍说，这个OS只是为网络和专业用户使用的。

1994年

19. Netscape公司免费发布了其浏览器Navigator的β版：正是这件事促使Internet获得了无数人的关注，并开始着迷于网上冲浪。

20. Pentium芯片被发现运算错误：在极稀少的情况下，Pentium CPU芯片会出错，Intel公司宣布只为能够证明需要在这种极稀少的情况下使用的用户免费调换。后来，它又把这种调换改为可为所有的来访者提供了。

1995年

21. Windows 95面世：Microsoft公司为Windows 95的面世聘请摇滚歌星进行了声势浩大的宣传。Windows 95把PC的应用平台向前推进了。

1998年

22. Windows 98内嵌浏览器事件：随着Windows 98的面世，Internet Explorer浏览器变成了操作系统的一个组成部分。Microsoft称，从Windows 98中去掉浏览器是不可能的。

1999年

23. Microsoft的反垄断案：美国联邦反托拉斯案的主审法官Thomas Penfield Jackson说，Microsoft已经显示出它将会用其巨大的市场能量和极高的利润伤害竞争对手。Jackson法官决定在2000年与 Microsoft公司斗争。到目前为止，这个案子还处在诉讼过程之中。

24. AMD的Athlon芯片性能超过相同时钟速度的奔腾III：AMD一向以克隆Intel的低速、廉价CPU著称。但AMD在1999年发布的Athlon芯片在性能上却超过了相同时钟速度的奔腾III。

2000年

25. 在两种Windows间受折磨：在向消费者承诺只有一个基于NT的Windows版本多年之后，Microsoft发布了两个新版本的Windows，但是却违反了其诺言。Windows 2000仍然是一个商业的OS，而Windows Me却依然以Windows 95为核心。

【PC卡】

PC卡这是一种仅相当于信用卡大小的可插拨设备，可被插接至计算机或Pocket PC。PC卡根据自身厚度被划分为Type I、Type II和Type III三种型号。被插接至Pocket PC的PC卡设备将提供数据存储或通信功能（例如，连接电话线或局域网）。

【Pocket PC】

Pocket PC是一种手持设备，可帮助您存储并检索电子邮件、联系人和约会信息，播放多媒体文件，玩赏电子游戏，借助MSN Messenger交换文本消息，浏览Web内容……您将能够与台式机实现信息交换和同步。

【移动PC】

移动PC也被有些厂商称做“便携台式机”、“家用便携一体机”，其特点是具有与笔记本电脑几乎一样的外观，但没有内置电池、PC卡插槽，一般通过交流电源供电，具有较强便携性，而且内部结构较精简，更便于用户自行升级和维护。此外，多数机型还可选配外挂式电池，从而实现真正意义上的移动计算。

移动PC与笔记本电脑的主要区别在于：移动PC的配件主要是采用台式机的配件，而笔记本的配件多是笔记本电脑专用的配件。

1、关于电池：移动PC一般没有内置电池，而供电是通过交流电源供电，最近上市的移动PC也有内置电池的，但由于其采用台式机的配件功耗较大，所以电池的使用时间较短，经常会造成死机的现象，而笔记本百分之百配备有内置的专用电池，使用时间也较长。

2、关于PC卡插槽：移动PC基本上没有支持PCMCIA的各种接口，而笔记本电脑都有各种PC扩展槽，能够很方便的实现各种外围产品的连接。

3、关于CPU等主要配件：移动PC的CPU都是采用台式机的CPU，多为P4系列，而笔记本的CPU大多采用笔记本电脑专用的移动型CPU，目前笔记本主流CPU是C4-M和P-M系列。移动PC采用的主板基本上是SIS集成一体化主板，内存也多用普通SDRAM，DDR内存比较少，硬盘也大多是 5400转的小容量。而笔记本电脑的CPU、主板、内存及硬盘等都是专用的。

4、关于性能：移动PC采用了台式机的配件，在性能上无法与采用专用配件的笔记本电脑相比。虽然现在有的移动PC也做得比较精致，但远比笔记本要笨重。

5、关于散热：移动PC由于采用了台式机的配件，所以发热量及功耗较大，这也是移动PC经常会死机的原因。而笔记本电脑一般都采用先进的铜热管导热技术，配合智能型散热风扇，独立的散热空间，保证系统运行的稳定性。

6、关于价格：移动PC由于采用了台式机的配件，价格比笔记本电脑要低，而笔记本采用了主流的配置的话，一般价格会在万元以上。

【PCMCIA】

PCMCIA： Personal Computer Memory Card International Association，PC机内存卡国际联合会的缩写，是一个有300多个成员公司的国际标准组织和贸易联合会，该组织成立于1989年，目的是建立一项集成电路国际标准，提高移动计算机的互换性。这种计算机要求强度高，能耗低，尺寸小，而且对这几条性能的要求都很高。

随着便携式计算机系统（含笔记本、亚笔记本、掌上型以及PDA）的广泛应用，对便携式扩展设备的要求也越来越迫切。在扩展卡标准制定之前，计算机能采用的周边设备（如插卡式内存和Modem等）通常都是专用的，不可换成其他厂家的类似产品。许多象Modem这样的设备更是只能插入一台特定型号的计算机，即便同厂出品的其他型号也不能使用。通常，这些周边设备并不设计成可与其他计算机互换，而是作为一种固定设计提供，只适合最初装配的那种计算机。

因此，我们需要一种通用的扩展方法，为寻求一种工业标准，几家卡商于 80年代后期创立了“个人计算机存储卡国际协会”（PCMCIA），规定了内存卡的物理设计方案、计算机插槽设计方案、电气接口以及相关软件。制订自己的标准时，PCMCIA采纳了“日本电子工业开发协会”（JEIDA）的一些设计思想。这两个组织都一直致力于推动现在称为“PC卡”的国际标准。事实上，该标准最新的版本已集成了PCMCIA和JEIDA，使产品间的兼容性有了进一步的提高。PC卡现已应用于多种场合，其中包括几种类型的RAM内存、预编程ROM卡、Modem、声卡、软盘控制器、硬盘驱动器、CD-ROM和SCSI控制器、全球定位系统（GPS）卡、数据采集卡、LAN卡、传呼机等等。还处在发展初期，PCMCIA市场就显示出蓬勃发展的气象。

PCMCIA标准使PC卡能在多种类型的计算机中使用，无论它采用的是何种微处理器。 PC卡不仅可以插到计算机上，亦可用于其他数字化设备，如测试仪器、数码成像设备及工业控制器等等。系统制造商、周边设备制造商、零售商和系统用户均可从中获益。当前有三种PC卡标准，它们的长宽都是85.6×54mm2，但厚度不一样：Type I是最早的3.3mm厚卡； Type Ⅱ将厚度增至5.0mm；Type Ⅲ则进一步增大厚度到10.5mm。一段时间以来，Type I几乎只在内存设备中应用。但最近Modem 和其他设备也开始相继采用Type I标准。Type Ⅱ是当今最占优势的一种尺寸，用于大多数设备。更厚的Type Ⅲ卡则主要用于微型硬盘驱动器，这种驱动器已变得越来越普遍。由于这三种卡共用同样的总线连接器，所以较薄的卡可顺利安装到为较厚的卡设计的插槽。

PCMCIA标准的问世已有些时日，目前已出至第三版。其间进行了大量必要的变动与改进，以适应系统和PC卡制造商不断变化的需求。 PCMCIA标准的发展已完全超出了最初定义内存卡的范围，现在包括的外设类型有:

4.多媒体类:声卡、视卡、游戏摇杆卡、电视/广播接收卡、视讯会议卡等。最早的版本是1.0，建立的标准主要面向类似现在的RAM卡那样的内存卡。 2.0到2.1版则增加了“卡和插槽服务” （Card and Socket Servicevices）软件规范、ATA和AIMS规范（ATA是“AT附件”的简称，涉及PC卡上的IDE驱动器接口；AIMS则是“自动索引海量存储”的简称，是一种在PC卡上保存图像和多媒体数据的标准，通常用于照／摄像技术）。最新的PCMCIA版本实际叫作“PC Card Specification”（PC卡规格），有时也不十分恰当地称为“3.0版”。这一版本提供了对DMA（直接内存存取）、更高速多媒体应用、即插即用、多功能卡以及CardBus的支持。这一版本也允许用3.3伏的逻辑电压设计PC卡和系统。由于能节省电池供电设备的能源， 3.3伏逻辑电平日趋流行。PCMCIA标准的每一次新发布，都力求做到与老版本保持向后兼容。

CardBus对PCMCIA总线结构进行了重新定义和改进，但仍可回复到以前在第1和第2版制订的标准。CardBus的主要目的是将PCMCIA总线扩展到更高的速度，以便连接功能更强的设备，并提供对32位I/O及内存数据通道的支持。它包括了一个新的屏蔽总线连接器，且不可将CardBus卡插入为2.x或更老版本设计的上一代系统。
