说来惭愧大学图书馆中日本推理小说很多，也废寝忘食地读了几本，只是没有碰过东野圭吾的，第一次读他的书是几年前读的《解忧杂货铺》，最近才在机缘巧合之下，读了这位大师妙手偶得的《白夜行》。东野圭吾的文笔细腻不拖沓，表情，声音，惟妙惟肖，但是绝不多余。出众的文笔加上大师级的节奏让这本书成为名作，而主旨不落俗套则让其升华成巨匠杰作。《白夜行》全书35万字，以刑案开头，按照我看过的刑案书，无非是伏笔深刻，出人意表，但是节奏都是一章紧过一章，一节深过一节。只是白夜行第一章结束时候，貌似，那个刑案戛然而止。每一章的开头都与之前间隔数年，每一章第一个出现的人物都让我们怀疑，自己的推断是不是错了。其实我最初就有一个预感，这个预感在本书三分之一处才出现了一点点端倪，而最终结局完全印证了我的猜想。但是，在二分之一之前我不断怀疑自己。第一章结束，我仍下书去看电视剧，第二章结束，有两天不读。就这样，我如同一个被牵线的木偶一样被大师的节奏操控着。煎熬，读这本书没有普通悬疑小说的那种酣畅淋漓，憋着不去厕所，吃着饭还要打着书，不到最后真相大白的一刻，不会撒手。事实上每一章结束，下一章的开头都味同嚼蜡，很难读下去。时代的特点，汽车时代的全盛，计算机从出现到普及，体育的各种事件，穿插其间，让《白夜行》的空间跨度更大，让整本书在一个不朽主题的贯穿之下，显得愈发本质而无奈。每一本日本的推理小说都是那么优秀，然而紧张和惊叹之余，又有多少能够留下让人回味的东西呢？“白夜行”三个字是文章的主旨的生动表达，也是所有艺术作品的主题，只不过，放在这个故事之中，是让人心酸的感觉。推理小说能把悬念之外的东西，渲染地如此瑰丽，远非泛泛之作可比。似绝未绝，结尾把大部分谜团解开，同时也让我们对之后，和对以前的一些细节，产生无限的遐想。本文几乎无剧透，真不容易！
