主语补语和表语的区别：主语补语（subjectcomplement）是补充说明主语的状态、情况之类的成分。例如：Theboywascaughtstealing.（这里的stealing就是主语补足语。）Theglasswasfoundbroken.（broken即为语补足语。）表语（ predicative）是用来说明主语的身份、性质、品性、特征和状态的。位于be,become,appear,seem,look,sound,feel,get,smell等系动词之后。例如：Herjobissellingcomputers.（动名词sellingcomputers作表语。）Thepatientisoutofdanger.（介词短语outofdanger作表语。）主语补语和表语的联系：表语也是主语补语中的一种。不过之所以称为表语，是它前面的谓语动词是is,are,am,keep,feel之类的系动词。如果谓语动词不是系动词，则称为主语补语。例如：Iamastudent.（astudent是表语。）Theplanlandedsafe.（safe就是主语的补足语）所以可以说表语是主语补语的一种特殊情况。主要看谓语动词。表语是主动的，主补是被动的，但是都是来修饰主语的。
