　　我在Buffalo，Binghamton，New York，Stamford， Dallas等美国5个城市每个城市分别生活过半年以上，旅行也把东西岸大城市基本上去过了，应该可以比较客观系统地解答这个问题。 　　在这里我先把“发达”定义成比其他参照国家先进，而并不是仅仅经济上或者物质上的发达。 　　作出这样子的定义非常重要，因为我认为大部分国内的朋友对美国的发达都存在一定程度上的误解。 　　一说起美国，大家的自然反应都是上面这张图这样子，遍布高楼大厦，各种高大上的基础设施，什么帝国大厦，双子塔，反正往高端先进方向靠就没错了。其实这是对美国最大的误解。上面这幅图是纽约。 　　有一句在美国人里面流传很广的话：世界上有两个美国，一个是美国，另一个是纽约。 　　实际上，纽约和美国任何其他地方都完全不一样。洛杉矶算是最接近纽约的城市了，但还是和纽约有很大距离。 　　最简单直接的一个例子，纽约曼哈顿一个一室一厅租金每个月在3500美金以上，我在达拉斯住的时候一个比纽约一室一厅大30%的公寓750美金一个月。纽约和美国其他地方简直是两个不同的世界。 　　90%的美国地方都是乡村结构。一家一个single family house，一个车库，两到三辆车。看着很爽，其实亲身经历过以后我表示我这从大城市过来的孩子实在受不了。国内的别墅都是在生活便利区，上街吃个饭去个超市啥的毫无难度，地铁也轻松直达。但美国的房子都是前不着村后不着店的，我吃个饭要开10分钟车。 　　所以大家看美剧里面对美国“发达”的理解基本上只是停留在纽约，洛杉矶等几个大城市，和大部分的美国人平时生活一分钱关系都没有。而即使是对比大城市，现在中国北京上海的现代化程度只有比纽约和洛杉矶更高而不会更低(抱歉了广州，虽然我是你的孩子，但你实在和上面这几个城市还有巨大差距)。 　　所以如果你对美国发达的理解就是高楼大厦的话，我可以告诉你你完完全全想错了方向。但美国的确很发达，发达在以下几点： 　　物价 　　美国的物价相对于居民收入算是比较便宜，得益于多年来比较低的通货膨胀。一般一个底层(注意，我讨论的是底层，讨论年薪几百万的那些精英人士没什么意义)如果努力工作的话，年收入可以在两万美金以上，在非纽约地区，房子租金一年5000刀差不多了(租四室一厅里的一个房间)，食物的话美国一周去一次超市120美金吃一周绰绰有余。衣服电器不用说了，全球应该美国和香港最便宜吧?买iphone 6也是700美金左右，4200人民币，国内好像要贵上不少，毕竟是美国本土的品牌。 　　前几天和朋友讨论物价，这一盒海胆是6美金，大概36人民币。朋友说国内要60多人民币。 　　买车也不说了。公认便宜。一辆二手的宝马也就3万美金(大概20万人民币)，新路虎高配12万美金(大概78万人民币)。 　　除了住，车，吃，衣服和电器，养活一个人应该不需要什么别的。当然如果你非要用淘宝的衣服和我比较穿衣服哪里便宜，那我还是会被你秒杀的。美国没有高仿，因为要保护品牌权益，全都是正牌货，这个比较蛋疼，我个人来讲只要质量过关款式好看，我才不管是不是正牌货，高仿一样能穿得我爽爽的。所以我回国期间都会刷刷国内的高仿衣服。 　　综合来讲，美国的物价相对于居民收入来说比国内低廉太多。造成这个原因主要是因为美元国际结算货币的地位，所以每次发行货币都不会造成大规模的通货膨胀，物价一直能保持稳定。关于这个问题我可以另外写一篇长回复，这里就不展开了。 　　环保 　　这是一张前不久刊登在国家地理杂志上，刷爆了我的朋友圈的一张照片，很说明问题。在寸土尺金的曼哈顿也能留出10%的城市公园，基本上就是美国人环保生活的一个体现。 　　美国的环保意识很重，毕竟过了靠污染来拉动经济的阶段，重工业基本上都移到了国外或者美国相对来说比较荒芜的地方，在人口繁密区基本没有大规模污染工业。食物质量如果不算转基因食品(话说转基因到底是好还是不好到现在都还没有定论)那是非常非常的好，还有专门卖有机食品的大型超市whole foods，里面的食物都是严格确认没有添加剂的，但价格比一般超市贵很多。空气，水源，食物，在环境方面美国人的确很热爱自己的国家，境内有近百个国家公园，在保护环境和物种方面是不遗余力的。 　　很多同学指出了美国人的能耗是地球上最高的，存在着大量的资源浪费现象。这一点我同意。在这里我说的环保单纯指他们对自己生活环境的保护。在碳排放方面美国人值得指责地方的很多。 　　人文 　　这一点是我要大书特书的。美国的人文精神在我眼中是世界数一数二的高度。 　　我游历过很多地方，欧洲，加拿大，南美洲，日本，东南亚等等。相对于欧洲的自由主义和日本的极简主义(我们就不和非发达经济体比人文了，这不为难人家么)，美国的人文精神着重在尊重两个字上。 　　尊重每一个人的生命和自由。这句话并不是扯的。在纽约，大家经常挂在嘴边的一句话就是"don"t judge"，意思是不要评判。一个深入人心的思想就是：只有上帝才有能力评判一个人。我们都不是上帝，所以大家都是平等的，没有人有权利和能力去评判别人的生活。 　　所以一个典型的纽约文化现象就是地铁站里的卖艺人。除了持牌的卖艺人以外，还有些无家可归的流浪汉，会在地铁站或者车厢里唱歌跳舞讲段子，完了之后鞠个躬说“感谢乘客任何的捐献，祝福大家有一个美好的日子”。本质是乞丐，但从来不卑微。 　　一个开货车的司机对着奥巴马可以不卑不亢侃侃而谈地说，“哥们你虽然是黑的，但我挺看好你哈，给我好好干”。这种对公权力毫无畏惧的态度来源就是美国深入人心的尊重个体思想。既然我受到了应有的尊重，我又没做坏事，我为什么要在总统面前低头?为什么我不能笑嘻嘻地拍他肩膀跟他合照? 　　有意思的是我回国期间和朋友聊起这个东西，大部分人却跟我说“尊重这东西并没有什么卵用，搞这些有的没的还不如多挣钱发展经济”。 　　所以政府才敢公然与民争利，所以老人摔了才没人敢扶，所以富二驾车撞人才敢逃逸现场。这些道德问题在我眼中看来其实都是政府缺乏对个人的尊重或者个人缺乏对其他人的尊重。因为在中国，政府觉得执政权威比民心重要，富二觉得身价上亿的他比一个月挣3000的你重要。当一个人觉得自己比别人重要的时候，就没有了尊重。 　　“我挣钱比你少，我长得没你帅，我老婆没你老婆好看，我还有一大堆比不上你的地方，但我就是我，我有权利活我自己的活法，你无权评判我。”没在美国生活过的底层民众很难理直气壮地说出这一句话，这是一个社会对个人最大的肯定。 　　答主是以留学生身份来美国的，大一一开始选了一个不喜欢的专业，发现被坑了后分外焦虑。有一段时间跟老师，美国同学，学院辅导员一直在讨论自己转专业的事情。答主跟辅导员聊了很久，答主在一个劲儿地分析自身的优势劣势，转的专业以后留在美国容易不容易，就业前景，挣钱前景。仔细听完答主所有分析的辅导员很认真地跟我说，“你说的这些都非常重要，但我认为最重要的是你是不是喜欢你现在要转的专业和现在在做的事情。喜欢是一个人事业上成功最大的动力，如果你不喜欢你在做的事情，你是不可能成功的。人就活一辈子，你一定要做你喜欢做的事情”。 　　答主呆了一下。从小在国内接受基础教育，从来老师家长都是直接告诉我要学什么，或者告诉我们未来哪一个行业最有希望最有前景，或者听了一下我的喜好然后就发表长辈对我以后发展的期望和对我学业职业规划的建议。从来没有一个人用这么认真的态度问答主自己喜欢什么，想要怎样的人生。 　　你喜欢做什么事情?你想要怎样的人生?你过的是不是自己想要的生活? 　　那一刻，答主觉得很受尊重。而这些话，我其实希望早一点听到的。 　　之后答主的人生观开始了一定的改变。每次遇到大抉择答主都会问自己，作出这个决定以后自己的人生会不会开心。开心，我就去做;不开心，我就去继续改变，改变到开心为止。 　　工作多年，答主其实和很多牛人相处过。答主有赚很多钱的朋友从投行辞职去创业做不赚钱的事情，有朋友选择拿很少的钱到别的地区做义工，有朋友作出很大的人生转折决定做很奇怪的事情，朋友的朋友是出柜的同志然后选择做很多为了同性恋争取权益的事情(那时候同性恋还没有合法化)。有时候和朋友聊天的时候我也会问为什么，他们只是浅浅地回答一句“做这些事情的时候我更开心”。 　　我从来都不会judge他们这样子做有没有逻辑是不是脑子进水了，我也只会浅浅地回一句，“祝你一切顺利!”，然后狠狠地握一握对方的爪。 　　我知道，要是我们的位置换过来是我做了个奇奇怪怪的决定，他也一样会微微一笑然后给我献上祝福。 　　科技 　　这个是美国接下来几十年能否继续繁荣的关键。美元强势结算货币(上一个强势结算货币是英镑)让美国产业空心化，制造业外移。对于通过贸易积累了大量美元外汇的新兴经济体来讲，他们希望用手上卖原材料赚的美元外汇去买自己生产不出的东西。 　　例如飞机，武器，抗癌药，太空技术等等。所以美国走科技路线并不是巧合，而是历史的必然。 　　一个硅谷支撑了21世纪美国前十年的兴旺发达。google，facebook，twitter，tesla。不得不服，近20年来世界上所有颠覆性的大发明(搜索引擎，社交网络，电动车)全部都是在美国创造出来的。 　　美元世界货币的地位令美国的资本充裕，可以进行各类大规模投资 -> 人文精神的高度发达让新科技思想在美国相对容易产生 -> 良好的生活环境和相对低的物价水平吸引不同民族的高智商人才倾向移居美国 　　资本 + 思想 + 人才= 高科技 　　并没有这么多的偶然，很多东西都是必然。在我看来，美国的科技优势还能至少延续到21世纪中叶，短期之内能找到一个和硅谷相比的科技中心是不可能的。天朝的科技园要加油赶上啊! 　　当最新科技一直在美国诞生的时候，生产力和生产效率提高的主动权就牢牢掌握在美国手上。 　　按照Bill Gates(微软老大)和Elon Musk(造tesla和私人火箭的那哥们)这些科技界大咖的判断，超人工智能(机器思考取代人类思考)将会本世纪内实现，而且必然引发新一轮的技术革命。这几个都是地球上最聪明的人类，他们作出的判断我们应该重视。 　　第一次工业革命，蒸汽机成就了大英帝国成为地球上最先进的国家; 　　第二次技术革命，计算机让美国保持了近60年了领先优势; 　　第三次科技革命，目前看来人工智能还是会先诞生在美国。 　　我只希望我们大天朝能够抓住机遇，迎头赶上。 　　感谢很多朋友指出，在第一次工业革命和信息技术革命之间还有一个进入电气时代的内燃机工业革命。我上文就不改了，留在这里提醒自己犯了个错误; 　　医疗 　　美国的医疗制度很值得质疑，因为实在是太贵了，原因是美国人其实承担了相当高的医疗研发费用。希拉里抨击药业暴利认为应该大降价，我有在高端生物医药行业工作的朋友马上反驳药业的暴利是因为一种新药研发的成本实在太高，你要付钱请最聪明的人来开发新药，动不动就几个亿扔出去，失败了也是常事，所以药业不暴利根本没办法研发新药。医疗其实是一个争议点，提高了生活成本，但美国医疗水平世界第一也是事实，在这里我既不抨击也不列为先进。 　　教育 　　教育是另一个争议点。对于尊重极端重视有一个副作用是让老师不敢大力管教小朋友。美国小孩从小到大都是在一片“你真棒!”“你最聪明了!”“你一定没问题的!”声中长大。因为你轻轻教育一下可能就会被家长投诉老师伤害了孩子的情感。好处是对塑造小孩自信心起到非常正面的作用，坏处是养出了很多熊孩子。有很多美国小孩你见了真的想大大巴掌抽死他们。 　　我个人认为基础教育不能填鸭塞教科书，但老师也要能有担当地站出来，在学生做得不对的时候严厉地管教。美国存在一个很特别的现象就是，公立学校老师很怂(学生一投诉他们可能就得下岗)，私立学校老师反而很严，但学费也不是一般贵(私立学校是贵族学校，有钱家长也认识到基础教育就要扎实，他们更尊重老师的权威)。所以我觉得美国的基础教育也是存在很大问题的。但美国的大学世界超一流无争议。 　　最后，答主的这篇文章不一定处处准确，但全部都是答主自己的亲身经历亲身体验。我们每个人的人生经历都不一样，每个人都肯定对社会有自己的看法和投射。不强求我说服你，只是从我自己的经历和你分享一个新的角度。
