卡拉OK源于1972年的日本神户，它的本意是“无乐队伴奏的演唱” 。随着电子技术的发展，在伴奏中加入混响效果；同时，伴奏影带迅速取代了声带。这样，随着音乐的节律为演唱者提示歌词，看到与歌曲意境相配的画面和原歌星的表演。此后不久，图像清晰逼真的激光影碟（LD）很快取代了影带。卡拉OK为演唱提供了极大的方便和乐趣，成为一种为普通人服务的娱乐形式流行于日本，继而进入欧洲大陆，风靡全球。同时也出现在各种档次的娱乐设施里，如酒吧、歌舞厅、餐厅里等。 KTV是卡拉OK的再一代延伸，它是卡拉OK的英文Karaoke的第一个字为“K”和电视的英文字为“TV”（Television）组合而成的。它是有一定的隐私和封闭空间结合的独立消费场所。这种形式最早出现在台湾和香港地区，八十年代末期进入中国大陆深圳。90年代中国大陆先后研制出VCD、DVD系统，90年代末期再发展为VOD系统（video-on-Demand,即按需求播放视频流），用户可以在任何时候，调取系统中的任意节目，并且可以自主地控制节目播放，使播放的节目更多，速度更快，使服务更加符合顾客的消费愿望和需求。同时，娱乐市场上也纷纷出现了各种娱乐项目的KTV广场、KTV城。 KTV的特征 （1） KTV的依附性 KTV除了提供基本的视听娱乐活动外，都必须依附一定的餐饮、娱乐经营形式而成立。 （2） KTV的专用性 KTV是一个完全封闭的空间，各种娱乐和服务项目在某一特定的时间供特定客人独立享用。顾客进入KTV包房就已为专门享受这些设施服务付了费用。所以，KTV包房的设施、用具等在这一时间不能转借到他处，只专门供包房内的客人使用。 （3） KTV的娱乐性 KTV包房内设有卡拉OK等视听娱乐性项目和特殊的休闲娱乐项目，使顾客在KTV消费时能同时享受到娱乐。 （4） KTV的隐蔽性 KTV包房因所采用的现代装修材料，隔音效果好，顾客在消费时，不会受到其他客人或外界的干扰。顾客能够在KTV包房中无拘无束地消费、娱乐。 （5） KTV的高规格服务 KTV包房一般要求配备具有一定工作经验，在素质上、服务操作技能上都是一流的服务员或业务人员。她们不仅要提供一般的饮食服务，还必须为客人提供点歌，活跃气氛的娱乐服务，自始至终在包房内为顾客服务。 ktv就是是Karaok TV(卡拉ok) ，中国原本是没有什么卡拉OK的，据说，卡拉OK是咱们亚洲人的发明，由日本传入港台，继而以摧枯拉朽之势横扫中国大陆。说是“横扫”，这并不夸张，以前咱们没什么象样的娱乐生活，比如我哥哥那一代人就比较可怜，他们一律留着鸭尾巴式的长头发，穿的喇叭裤像大扫帚一样，手里还拎着砖头一般的录音机，然后三五扎堆，找个角落大跳迪斯科。由于那形象不怎么样，所以居委会大妈看见了都绕道走，还不忘教育自己的孙子，看看，这些都是小流氓。听说某地把跳迪斯科称为“砸地”，我忍不住乐了，这词形象。砸着砸着，鸭尾巴长发不见了，喇叭裤不见了，那一代愤世嫉俗的青年们已经惆怅的老去，而满大街都是卡拉OK了。 没事的时候我就开始琢磨一件事——据我所知，西方国家是没什么卡拉OK的，那么这东西何以在东方大行其道？后来我就琢磨出一点意思了，东方人性格上是比较含蓄的，行事上是比较内敛的，思维上是比较保守的，闲事生活中是比较压抑的。就比如说日本人，明明把对方恨得半死，还得一口一个嗨，像装了弹簧一样不断的鞠躬；中国人也舒服不到哪里去，凡事必讲究仁义道德，日子越过越恶心，有什么话也得吞在肚子里，表面上还得安慰自己说，这叫以德服人。所以说，东方人过得不自我，有城府却无胸怀，有欲望却无胆量，有想法却无计划，有骚动却只好闷骚。压抑时间长了，有人愤而崛起了，那叫愤青，不过现在看来，做愤青也是可耻的，同时也远远不如去卡拉OK喊两嗓子有效果。 当然，现在卡拉OK似乎不怎么流行了，取而代之的是KTV。仔细想一想，这也很正常，中国人的脸皮还是很单薄，叫一个胆小者窜上台前高歌一曲，他大有心脏病突发的危险；假如他的嗓音古怪一点，嗓门大了一点，走调走得厉害一点，表情再热烈一点，那么台下的无辜群众也有集体昏厥的可能。因此说，KTV的出现实际上是起了双重保护的作用。 在我看来，KTV有若干个有意思的地方。比如说，在这种地方，人类的自我意识得到空前的释放，每个人都想“秀”上一把，即使有羞羞答答的家伙号称自己不想唱，那也是看似含蓄而已，其实他早就恨不得一脚把其他的人踢下去，自己把话筒抱在怀里。这“秀”的意思是表现，是炫耀。想想吧，咱们这些矜持了几千年的老百姓能迸发出如此的热情，实在是可喜可贺。同时，这“秀”还附加着一个冠冕堂皇的外衣，虽然是以满足自己的表现欲为目的，但是幌子却是娱乐群众——我是唱给你们听的，又不收钱，连卖艺不卖身都算不上，所以，你们得表现得很欢迎我，表现得很尊重我的劳动。这就是KTV的游戏规则，即使你感觉对方唱得惨不忍闻，你都得兴高采烈的给他鼓掌，都得一脸诚恳的夸奖他技艺高超。这道理很简单，因为你也想唱，你也想得到满足，举个浅显的例子，就比如在床上运动时，你的高潮往往是和对方的高潮紧密相连并接踵而来的，假如你高潮了而对方迟迟没有，那么对方就极有可能埋怨你、冷淡你，并在以后拒绝配合你，最后把你变成性冷淡。所以说，唱KTV本质上是自娱的，同时也建立在互娱的基础上。 我顺便夸夸自己，在这方面，我保持着相当优雅的风度。对方唱得好，我就拼命的鼓掌；对方唱得不好，我就说，哇哇，又有进步啊；对方唱走调了，我就靠近他小声的哼着曲调，叫他找到正确的调子；假如对方一直没找到调子，我就迅速闭嘴，目不转睛的看着屏幕，用坚定的表情叫他相信原来是这配乐走调了，是我走调了，而他是万分正确的。其实我也不想如此，我记得在若干年以前，我的大哥买了一部可以唱歌的录象机，他每天晚上躲在房间里唱歌，并拉上我一起唱。他的态度是认真的，他的歌声却是可怕的。可他是我的大哥啊，而且我也只有这么一个大哥，看着他深情款款并稍带羞涩的样子，我百感交集。于是，我毫不吝啬赞美的语言，运用了很多语言技巧让他相信他并不比齐秦差多少。于是他乐了，而我更加百感交集，看看，人是多么容易被满足啊。这也说明了另外一个问题，KTV很容易考验出一个人的忍耐能力和善良程度。而KTV可以在中国长盛不衰，这也说明我们的国人基本是善良的、坚忍的。 当然，并不是每个人都是容易对付的，我就有这么一个同学，他很喜欢唱歌，但是唱起来向来走调，要命的是他自己还浑然不觉，可以从头到调到尾。其实我也很想赞美他，但是我一时找不到合适的语言，我很惭愧的。后来我终于想出来了，我说，唱歌走调是不难的，难的是一辈子走调。其实我还有更恶心的话，比如我想说，唱歌走调其实一种边缘艺术行为，你试图以一种极端的方式对主流大众文化进行颠覆，然后在此基础上重建文化观念框架。我怕他听不明白，同时也怕自己突然呕吐，所以一直没好意思说出来。 说了半天，你们或许看出来了，我也是KTV运动的热心追随者。在N年以前，我说过了，我的大哥热爱歌唱事业同时又唱得不怎么好听，这就让我产生了无穷的信心，我唱不过别人，总不可能唱不过他吧？事实证明，我也就比他好那么一点点，好在有志者事竟成，历经千百磨练，我的脸皮厚了几层，这歌声也动听了几分。作为一个老狐狸，我暗自练习了几首歌，并美其名曰“招牌歌”，我估计在KTV混迹几年的人都或多或少的有几首招牌歌。当和朋友们聚会时，便底气十足的“秀”上几首，不过这也容易产生一些问题，比如说假如你经常和同一拨人出去混，同时你又没有练习出新的招牌歌，那么就大大的尴尬了，你总不能像大陆歌手一样只靠几首歌吃饭吧？所以，最近我一般不接熟客。这就揭示了另一个问题，唱KTV也有职业道德问题，假如你有良心的话，假如你真的需要别人有点高潮，那你首先得拿出点货真价实的东西让别人快乐点。 在KTV的问题上，也有少数群众存在着作风问题。有一类群众很喜欢霸占麦克风，他们都有一个称号，叫做麦霸。这类人是坚决不顾及别人的感受的，假如不把自己唱得大汗淋漓，他们绝对不会罢休的。另一类群众属于间歇发作的，一旦别人唱到一半，他们的兴致就瞬间高涨起来，于是就拿着另一个麦克风高声合唱。假如原唱者比较的文雅，他就不忍心把这老兄轰下去，于是，房间里每个人都得欣赏两个麦克风互相引发的尖锐的呼啸声。更可怕的是，喜欢插一腿的兄弟通常唱功粗糙，因此除了呼啸声，你还得忍受着各种莫名其妙的声音。后来我就有想法，想法之一是准备撰写一本书，名子就叫《论KTV爱好者的修养》；假如我依靠这本书发财了，我就开设一个可以容纳500号人的大包厢，并配备500个麦克风，让500个群众疯狂的合唱一首歌，歌曲暂定为《双截棍》。 所以说，听别人唱歌是需要勇气的。同样，敢于肆无忌惮的唱歌的人也需要勇气。我特佩服以前的某邻居，他就特别喜欢唱，而且是在大清早唱。根据我的判断，他的音响和他的嗓子一样的糟糕，不过这也没妨碍他的热情。假如鲁迅先生活着，他也许会激动的说，真的勇士，敢于面对嘲笑，敢于面对破烂的麦克风…… 我最近想起来，王小波先生曾经写过一篇杂文，批判在家唱卡拉OK的人，并很气愤的把他们暗喻成驴。我是非常尊重王小波先生的，但是我却坚决的不赞同把这些兄弟说成驴，道理很简单，首先驴是没什么心思的动物，除了性欲也没有多少深层次的压抑感，所以做驴不需要引吭高歌；其次，即使驴也压抑，也需要引吭高歌，它也不必遮遮掩掩的躲在屋子里，它可以光明正大的随时歌唱，同时也不必在乎有没有人鼓掌。因此我说，我不反对卡拉OK或者KTV，我反对无视道德者。唱歌水平是次要的，娱乐水平是主要的。既然赶上了这样的时代，除了谈谈人生、谈谈理想，我们也需要看似庸俗的乐上一回。古人就没这个乐子，比如说，假如把张飞拎到今天，说不定他吼几嗓子就成摇滚歌星了；把赵云摆在众女性面前，或许那就叫偶像派；至于刘备大叔，嘿嘿，就跟着我们在KTV里混吧。
