歌手:nirvana

专辑:nevermind

Spring is here again, tender age in bloom, he knows not what it means, sell the kids for food, we can have some more.

The water is so yellow, I"m a healthy student, you"re my vitamens.

Take your time, hurry up, the choice is yours, don"t be late.

Nirvana

And just maybe I"m the one to blame for all I"ve heard but I"m not sure, I"m so excited I can"t wait to meet you there but I don"t care.

I don"t care if it"s old, I don"t mind if I don"t have a mind, get away from your home.

Have to have poison skin, give an inch take a smile.

Never met a wise man, if so it"s a woman, gotta find a way to find a way, I had better wait.

One more special message to go, as defense I"m neutered and spayed, what the hell am I trying to say? I got so high that I scratched till I bled.

The second coming came in last and out of the closet.

At the end of the rainbow and your rope.

Don"t hurt yourself, I want some help to help myself, she"s just as bored as me.

I"ve got this friend you see, who makes me feel, I don"t regret a thing.

And the animals I"ve trapped have all become my pets.

Our little group has always been and always will until the end, with the lights out it"s less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us, I feel stupid and contagious, here we are now entertain us, a l mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido, yay, yay, a denial, I"m worse at what I do best and for this gift I feel blessed, I found it hard, it was hard to find, oh well, whatever, nevermind.

TED 01:Got a Meeting ? Take a Walk

Sitting has become the smoking of our generation. So instead of going to coffee meetings or fluorescent-lit conference room meetings, I ask people to go on a walking meeting, to the tune of 20 to 30 miles a week. It"s changed my life. The more reflective one, is just about how much each of us can hold problems in opposition when they"re really not that way. And if we"re going to solve problems and look at the world really differently, whether it"s in governance or business or environmental issues, job creation, maybe we can think about how to reframe those problems as having both things be true. Because it was when that happened with this walk-and-talk idea that things became doable and sustainable and viable. Walk and talk. Walk the talk. You"ll be surprised at how fresh air drives fresh thinking, and in the way that you do, you"ll bring into your life an entirely new set of ideas.

Use positive thinking to reframe your thoughts about your job. Changing your attitude about work won"t necessarily happen overnight. But if you"re alert to ways your view of work brings you down, you can improve your job satisfaction. Pay attention to the messages you give yourself. When you catch yourself thinking your job is terrible, stop the thought in its tracks. * Put things in perspective. Remember, everyone encounters good days and bad days on the job. * Look for the silver lining. "Reframing" can help you find the good in a bad situation. For example, you receive a less than perfect performance appraisal and your boss warns you to improve or move to another job. Instead of taking it personally or looking for another job right away, look for the silver lining. Depending on where you work, the silver lining may be attending continuing education classes, working closely with a performance coach and having the satisfaction of showing your boss you"re capable of change. * Learn from your mistakes. Failure is one of the greatest learning tools, but many people let failure defeat them. When you make a mistake at work, learn from it and try again. * Be grateful. Gratitude can help you focus on what"s positive about your job. Ask yourself, "What am I grateful for at work today?" If it"s only that you"re having lunch with a trusted co-worker, that"s OK. But find at least one thing you"re grateful for and savor it.

smoking hurts our health

You Know Smoking Kills Why Can"t You Stop! How To Kick It By Tania A Prince Illness And Smoking It is estimated that approximately 50 million Americans smoke. 400,000 people are thought to die in America each year from smoking related causes. Yet even when smokers are presented with these figures they still smoke. In the UK, it is estimated that 1/4 of the populace smoke, approximately 13 million adults. As smoking decreases in the older population the trend is increasing amongst the young. Comparison of The Different Techniques For Stopping Smoking There are many techniques available to help you stop smoking. But which of these is the most effective. In a scientific comparison of differing techniques used for stopping smoking (conducted by researchers at the university of Iowa, America), New Scientist reported that: "Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking" It is interesting to note that companies that produce chemical products, such as nicotine patches, also offer psychological help packages. Physical And Psychological Addiction When a person develops an addiction there are two components to it. One of these is a physical addiction to the substances themselves. The other is a psychological dependence. Surprisingly enough breaking the physical addiction with cigarettes is very easy. In fact if you think about it you sleep through the night for about eight hours without thinking or waking up for a cigarette. Yet when you are awake you may be a chain smoker, lighting one after the other. If the physical need was that great, you would wake up in the night. Any physical need dissipates within days. Psychological need can go on for years. Hypnotherapists can eliminate with the psychological need. Which Is The Most Effective Form Of Therapy? There are many forms of therapy available today that all claim to help you give up smoking. The difference between them is the speed and ease with which they help. Another major difference is if they require will power in order to be effective. The most effective techniques do not require will power. Will power implies conscious effort. Habits and addictions are controlled by the subconscious mind. It is very difficult if not impossible to over power the unconscious mind by will power. A hypnotherapist works with the unconscious mind gaining its support. That is why smokers can generally stop incredibly quickly and easily when hypnosis is used. Acupressure or acupuncture is also a technique widely used to help people stop smoking. It can be very effective. EFT, (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a very advanced yet simplistic form of acupressure. Used with hypnosis or by itself it can be extremely effective and fast in helping a person quit. EFT can be used to address the psychological and physical parts of the addiction. It is such a simple technique that the client can be taught how to use it during the session and if they need to use it after, they have a back up tool to help them get the result they want, and stop smoking. I worked with a client a couple of years back to help her eliminate a chocolate addiction. It worked really well. When I phoned her up for feedback some time later she told me an interesting story. Her husband had recently given up smoking using the will power method. He was driving her "nuts". So finally getting fed up, she said, "come on" and taught him how to do the technique. At first he felt a little uncomfortable, because if you"ve ever used EFT it is so simplistic you have to think "how on earth does this work", well after he got over that thought he said to his wife, "your not going to believe this but it"s working". She told me that was the moment when it really sunk in for her how powerful the technique was. Will Power Versus Smoking No contest, smoking will win every time. Some people actually think they have used will power when what they have really done is called reframing. Reframing is when you generate a shift in thinking about something. Reframing is the basis of all therapy. The thing is you generally can not just tell yourself to think smoking in a different way. It"s as if something has to "click" and suddenly you feel an automatic shift in your thinking. A therapist who knows how to reframe, needs to get their timing right, but when you do the results can be spectacular. I generally do reframing whilst I"m using EFT it seems to work more effectively. A client I worked with recently told me how he had made so many half hearted attempts to stop smoking, because he really didn"t want to stop. He was only doing it for the other members of his family. He liked smoking. After going to the doctor about a medical problem something clicked inside of him and he finally decided he wanted to stop for himself, for his health. (Note, he wanted too, but he still loved smoking) Even though he wanted to stop, he felt envious of others who were able to smoke. He tried to reason out that other smokers also probably wanted to stop, but it didn"t make him feel less envious, because it hadn"t clicked, he still needed to make an effort to think this and if you"d really been able to listen to his thoughts you"d have probably heard a big ....but....(I like smoking...you don"t really want to stop, you just don"t want to get ill), at the end of that thought. Working through the problem, it also became evident that he felt great loss at the thought of never being able to smoke again. He felt a tight feeling in his chest. The question becomes what was he losing? The nice feeling he had when he smoked. The one that relieved the tight feeling in his chest. The tight feeling that wouldn"t be there if he hadn"t smoked. Long Term Effectiveness Of Hypnosis T Von Dedenroth found that 94% of 1000 subjects were still not smoking 18 months after completion of hypnotherapy. 1000 Subjects were used in the trial. (American Journal of Clinical Hypnotherapy (1968)). New Scientist, Magazine (October 1992) A Personal Account, Stopping Smoking Using Hypnosis And EFT ".....(It"s) normally such a battle with yourself (to give up smoking without hypnosis, but the) biggest thing I found was that I didn"t think about them anymore. I had no cravings. I felt more confident and calm in situations. Before I had often felt anxious going out, but after the session I felt more level headed. Usually certain triggers set you off, (but) there was just nothing. Interesting thing was that the underlying reasons were dealt with, not just the smoking......It"s just lovely ...even my health problems have sorted themselves out. My nails were always brittle and weak and always cracked- now they are a lot stronger and my lungs are better......generally overall I"m a lot better" JB , Macclesfield Why do people smoke? This is a very interesting question. There are many reasons why a person may begin to smoke, these include: Trauma Peer Pressure Rebellion Glamour When people are under extreme stress they often look for ways of alleviating the anxiety. This can often lead to them taking up smoking. One client I worked with only began smoking in her forties when her husband was struck down with a major illness. She was under massive ongoing stress. Stopping Smoking The Facts Within eight hours Oxygen levels in the blood return to normal and the concentration of nicotine is now halved Within 48 Hours Your sense of taste sharpens and nicotine is completely out of your body 10 Years After Stopping The risk of having a heart attack has now diminished to the same level as a non smoker

请以how i deal with bad feelings为题,写一篇70词左右的短文

Most people reckon they know how to handle their emotions. It"s easy, right? You control them, you manage them (lest they manage you), you get on top of them. This is all advice that"s been touted loudly and long about how to ‘best" your emotions.Well, guess what? It"s all wrong. There"s only 3 approaches to emotions, and none of them is about “management”.David Rock has written the brilliant Your Brain at Work. It"s not pop psychology and it"s not a theoretical tome that"s heavy in all respects. It"s thought leadership at its most profound and simple. He says you only have 3 choices once emotions kick in: You can express, suppress or transform the emotions. Here"s how.1. Express the emotions. This is what kids do. If they"re upset or frightened, they cry. If they"re happy, they laugh and run around. I"d landed at the Brisbane international airport and everyone was a bit grouchy and stiff from the long flight. A boy aged about 8 was running around the baggage carousel, laughing. First, I was a bit irritated (my grouchometer was pretty high at that point). Then I imagined what would happen if an adult was doing the exact same thing this boy was doing, and it made me laugh out loud. There we all were, stifling our emotions (and our knee joints). And there this young lad expressing himself. Who was the smart one?WARNING: This is a context-specific strategy! There are some situations (such as social scenes, or when you"re in public) when this option isn"t available at all, or is only partially available. Hitting a pillow with a cricket bat may not be an appropriate way to express strong emotions when you"re sitting in a cafe. But laughing or crying may be.2. Suppress the emotions. This requires holding the emotions down and attempting to keep them from being visible to others. This is the strategy that many people use, particularly in cubicle land.Don"t feel it – manage it! Don"t express it – control it!THE FACTS: Experiments in controlled circumstances on the effectiveness of suppressing emotions found this to be grossly ineffective – people just could not hold strong emotions in. Even if they thought that they looked ok on the outside, on the inside, their internal state was affected. But we didn"t need a study to tell us that, right?Trying not to feel something is ineffective and can be harmful. Suppressing strong emotions affect what you are able to pay attention to and therefore what you remember. So much energy is spent trying to suppress the strong emotions that your sensory acuity is diminished — you are paying less quality attention to what is actually happening. This can be dangerous; for example, if you are angry while driving, you are not paying full attention. Not paying attention greatly increases your odds of being in an accident.3. Transform the emotions.Rock calls this cognitive change. “Even after you have gotten yourself into a bad situation, you can still, at this late stage, think about it differently”. There are two ways you can transform emotions:(a) Labelling — putting a label on the emotion. This works best when you are succinct — if you talk too much about or enter into a dialogue with your emotions, it tends to increase the level of painful emotions you experience. So short is better – sit with the emotion for a moment, give it a label, let it go. I was a conference call the other day and found myself getting agitated by what someone was saying. Instead of pushing that emotion down or trying to ignore it, I gave it a few seconds of attention, asking myselfwhat is this emotion? When I found it – annoyed – I did a quick label “I"m feeling annoyed” then let it go – so much easier to do after I"d quickly labelled it. The other thing that works well with labelling is using a metaphor – “this emotion is like….” I"ve used this approach in corporate workshops for years and I can tell you it works. We did an exercise where we used metaphor cards to help identify emotions. This emotion is like a herd of zebras – there"s dark and light here. Or this emotion is like a garden path – it"s taking me somewhere. It doesn"t have to make logical sense (metaphors often don"t); your unconscious knows how it folds together. This is not a process you need to share – it is largely an internal process.(b) Reframing — putting a different interpretation onto the same set of circumstances (or “facts”). This is an effective “braking” mechanism – it puts the kybosh on your strong emotional pain in smart order. It"s a version of Shakespeare"s tenet that “there is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so”. How you sort and ‘file" the event makes all the difference in the world to how you feel about it and how it affects you. You can label it horrible, bad, terrible….. Or you can print out a different label like “useful” or “I learned something important” or “the upside to this was…”. Even if you"re not sure if this possible or that there"ll be a single answer to those questions, try it. You"ll be amazed at how your unconscious will deliver an answer to you, if you only ask, be still, don"t judge and listen.WARNING: Reframing painful events takes effort! Rock calls it “metabolically expensive”. That means you have to effectively delete the original scene and re-direct/script it into a better-serving scene. This is akin to a director re-shooting, re-editing (maybe even re-casting) and re-shaping the scene in a movie. Reframing takes time and energy but it is worth it because it is so powerful. The good news? The more you practice, the better you get at it and the easier it becomes. And the quicker you muscle in those poorly filed memories, the easier it is to reframe them in a way that helps you more effectively deal with that crazy thing called life. What"s your choice?Emotions are a part of what make life rich and fascinating. They are also part of what makes life challenging at times. Rock says there are only three options for dealing with emotions. Understanding these choices is vital as they can profoundly affect your health and well-being. Suppressing your emotions is nearly always the worst choice.Expressing your emotions is often the best thing to do, but that isn"t always possible (picture a 43 year old running and shouting through cubicle land!). Transforming emotions is the most powerful of the choices and is worth learning and practicing.I"d love to hear your thoughts and feelings about the three choices we have when emotions kick in. Stop by the comments and let me know.-------------three steps:Developing emotional intelligence.Learning to sit with negative feelings.Creating situations for positive feelings.

Mystery and Detective Fiction

Should public libraries collect detective fiction? On what basis? Demand alone does not seem a useful criterion in building enduring, high quality collections. Yet the quality of mystery fiction has been debated for years. Rather than continuing the debate on its old terms, we need to reframe it. Detective stories must be judged in terms of what they intend to accomplish within their genre. In evaluating a specific title, librarians should consider how well a work meets the requirements of the f ...orm, and what unique contribution it makes. These guidelines may be extended to other genres.

要想去掉这个警告,需要更改includes目录下的DefaultSettings.php文件,其中的 $wgVerifyMimeType = false, 即可。 You can also disable the MIME type check completely by setting $wgVerifyMimeType = false; — note however that this is very insecure: arbitrary files can then be uploaded with a "harmless" file extension, but may possibly still executed/interpreted in a harmful way on the client computer, or the web server. Pending: how does this relate to$wgCheckFileExtensions?

Today, it seems as though we"re bombarded from all sides with so-called recipes for success. Images of what success looks like. Tactics to make us more successful. Warnings that what we"re doing right now might be sabotaging our success. The implicit understanding being that we"ll do thisthing, this way if we want to be successful. And we won"t do any more of that thing. All of this exists for a simple reason. We want to feel successful. Successful feels good. Successful is what we are supposed to want to be, right?Where we run into trouble, though, is that it"s not always clear what we"re striving for. And sometimes, even when it"s clear where we"re headed, that destination feels somewhat disconnected from what we really want or who we know ourselves to be.When we"re chasing after other people"s definitions of success, there are questions we don"t ask. It"s really easy to chase other people"s success instead of defining and creating our own, our way. Most of us do this at some point in our lives. Because that is what happens when we"re leading ourselves around by the outside instead of spending a little time getting to know who we are on the inside. We spend more time listening to others – mentors, role models, peers, friends and family – instead of trusting that we might have a different and equally valid vision. What happens? We become even more susceptible to outside influences. We compare. Something doesn"t feel quite right. We can"t seem to achieve things like work-life balance. We"re stressed far too much of the time.Recipes are great jumping off points. They are experiments and references. They help us to not reinvent perfectly good wheels. But unless you"ve written them yourself, you"ll need to dig a little deeper for lasting satisfaction. What works for someone else may not be what nourishes you.Just like cooking a delicious meal, unless you know what you"re hungry for and what ingredients you have to work with, a recipe isn"t going to do much good.In my life, I"ve always been more of a rule bender than a rule follower. (My strengths profiles reframe this as creativity, innovation and big picture thinking.) And although I love trying out new recipes, I nearly always modify the recipe as I"m cooking.Maybe I don"t have that much garlic. Maybe a little spice change would taste better to me. Maybe there are 3 recipes that all sound good and I wonder what it would taste like if I blended them together. If you"re feeling stressed by success— how to achieve it, whether you"ll get there, how to juggle it all, the burden of having “made it” – I invite you to revisit your beliefs about success. Find out what"s underneath it all for you. What"s your recipe? When you say you want to be successful, what do you really mean by that? When someone points out your successes, what"s your response? When you"re feeling most successful, what"s happening? What does it look like? How do you feel when you are successful?Spend some time defining success for yourself. Say yes to success, your way.

比如对PDF文档,用“application/pdf “策略。

英语作文what. education. should. do. for. us?

I grew up in a house of academics - both my parents were university professors with varying degrees of contributions as public intellectuals in their respective fields. In my upbringing, education wasn"t something you went to school and "did" for a couple of hours a day - it was and is a part of my identity, it shapes the way I think and feel and believe; education is a vocation.Growing up in such an environment, the way I perceive education tends to differ from popular notions and messages of what education is, does, or should do for the individual. In the first place, what do we think when we hear, "education?" Many of us envision the process of schooling where we acquire knowledge in the classroom where our ability to retain, reproduce, and sometimes reframe that knowledge is tested. And as we pursue higher levels of the education process, we move up a structural hierarchy where the knowledge acquisition process is more complex, and there is an expectation that beyond reproducing knowledge, we will adopt critical thinking of any acquired knowledge. This process, filled with instruction, and instructors, tests, and schedules, and deadlines, in a sense prepares us for organizing beyond the education institutions and systems. We have schedules and deadlines once we begin our lives in the so-called "real world." We also have bosses who will have expectations and projects that will entail instructions and deadlines that we are required to meet. In this way, education institutions do prepare us for work. And because of this, many deem that the sole intrinsic value of education is to prepare the individual to be a productive member of society in the workplace.Yet I find this positioning of education as solely a preparatory period for a working life inadequate. Education should teach us more than the rules and regulations of becoming a productive worker. Education should teach us how to engage in critical thinking and discourse of who we are as individuals and in relation to the community - the local one we find ourselves in, and the world at large. Education should provide us with the framework for how we choose to participate in society beyond the function of being a worker. This participation should extend to how we arrive at our political and religious constructs, how we choose to consume products and services, and how we choose to interact on a daily basis with the world around us.It is true that Western hegemony has essentially framed the education process, and as a result, it has become an extension of capitalism. And as an extension of capitalism, the process has become a means to a real outcome. In the liberal arts, we are taught that something is real if it is real in its consequences. And the consequences of education can be a job in our chosen field, a promotion, a title, etc. These are all good things and we should be allowed to want them. But if our education endeavors are only for these sole palpable purposes and our acquisition of knowledge doesn"t challenge our beliefs and question our realities, then I don"t believe we have received an education; we may have received a degree, but not an education.Education should be an endeavor in which the learner receives knowledge and encounters and experiences a change in how he or she perceives the world. Education should teach us to be more open-minded, in the sense of wanting to understand better those around us who do not share our viewpoints of the world. Education should teach us to be more conscious of how much good we can do, and to feel a responsibility to leave the world a better place than we found it. Education should lead us to seek more than we find, and to be content even when we do not find at all. Education should teach us to treat each other better because we should understand each other better as a consequence of it. Education should teach us all these things and more because the intrinsic value of education is not that it is a means to any one end, but that it is an end in itself.
