我的看法：这里的paw prints 和 puma fur 确实是指那只puma，但是paw prints 其实是some paw prints 的简写，puma fur 也是如此，所以不用the。至于experts，前面的experts是指Zoo来的，第二个experts就不一定是指他们，因为根据原文，可以理解为第二个experts可能是是另外一些专家，他们只是确认puma一般不会攻击人类，也许和动物园的专家有重合，也许没有重合，所以不用the。后面experts又出现了一次“The experts were now fully convinced that the animal was a puma”。这里的 experts肯定包括上面所指的专家们，所以用the。一家之言，仅作参考。
