太原理工作为山西省的唯一一所211院校，建校117周年，具有很深的历史文化底蕴，像虎峪和迎西校区作为太理的老校区，有很多建筑都刻上了历史的痕迹，如果你在虎峪和迎西校区随便逛一圈的话，可能就能真的发现时间在这个学校里留下深深的印记。我主要是学习生活都是在明向校区，我还是介绍一下我熟悉的地方吧！明向校区作为太理的新校区，是与大学城一同建起来的，可能没有迎西虎峪的那种古色古香，但是现代化的设施也让他不输风采，它整体的建筑风格也是比较现代化，大气典雅又不输气势，当然他也具有很多的地标性建筑。首先要说的就是明向的大图书馆啦！可能还没有步入太理的校门你就可以看见那座坐落在校内中心的大楼，那就是我们学校的图书馆。远看，你会全面的领略到这座建筑在这所学校非同凡响的地位，近看，你会真正感受到图书馆的庄严巍峨与挺拔，而且他周围的绿化设计都会让你流连忘返。穿过图书馆，你可能就会看到我们学校广阔的大草坪，春夏秋冬，一年四季，他总是以别样的风采吸引着我们，沿着草坪的小路走走，感受一下小草小花，真是异常惬意呀！还有就要数明向庙啦，虽然说不能真正上去体会一下，也不是很清楚里边住着什么神仙，但是，不得不说是一个别具特色的庙宇。
