通常是associate A with B, 主动态形式；被动态就是 A be associated with B了；be related to 和 be connected with 用法和be associated with 一样的

be associated with可以看作是一个比较固定的词组，实际上是associate A with B，把A和B联系在一起，所以可以变成A be associated with B，就是变成被动啦，在第一句可以看成是被动，也可以是把associated 看成是形容词当表语（很多动词在变成现在分词和过去分词后都可以当形容词用）。至于第二句，我觉得也是associated而不是associate，you的宾语补足语，和you是被动关系（就像第一句一样），所以用过去分词形式。当然这只是我个人意见，如果你查了相关书籍发现第二句那里还是associate的话。。。那应该就是书错了。。。
