swallow主要用作及物动词，一般不接介词。

个人觉得swallow 更倾向于吞咽的动作，注重于过程，用于形容某人或某物的这个行为。ingest 更注重于结果，摄取了什么什么。

季节的变化会带来食物种类和资源的变化，例如鲑鱼产卵和浆果高产的丰收时节，这时会暂时步行几百公里，迁移到食物最丰富的地方。此时棕熊们大群地聚集在一起，级别最高的是那些体型庞大的大公熊，它们会站居最有利的地形，而级别最低，威胁性最小的则是那些刚刚独立不久的青年男女。带着孩子的单身母熊虽位列第二，但却是相当具有危险性的，出于对幼子的爱护，这些母熊们十分好斗。 棕熊们一般在晨昏时分外出活动，而大白天则躲在窝里休息，也有些棕熊任何时候都可能四处走动。棕熊的窝通常建在隐蔽得比较好的山坡上，或是大石头底下，大树的树根间，它们有时会自己动手挖个窝，然后搜罗一些干草之类的东西铺进窝里，这样一个窝有时会用好几年。棕熊有冬眠的习性，从10月底或11月初开始，一直到翌年3-4月。为了积累用于冬眠期间所需的大约50千克脂肪，秋天必须吃掉400-600千克的浆果和其他食物。冬天临近时便开始准备洞穴，选择那些遍地是倒木枯枝，寒风较弱的向阳地带，多选择大树洞或岩石隙缝处居住，有时也在沼泽地上的干土墩上挖掘地穴。用前爪洞穴中以枯草、树叶或苔藓作铺垫物。一般每个个体独居一个洞穴，只有雌兽与3岁以下的幼仔才同居在一起。进洞前先围着洞口转一阵，然后跳钻进去，或者后退着进窝，或者把自己的足迹弄乱，以免被天敌发现洞穴，更好地隐蔽自己。在冬眠期间主要靠体内贮存的脂肪维持生命，如果有危险，随时都会醒来。在较温暖的日子里，有时会到洞外活动一段时间。因为棕熊在冬眠期间新陈代谢的速率并非象那些真正冬眠的动物那样下降到很低，而且这些熟睡中的熊可能随时都会醒来。并不是所有的棕熊都会冬眠的。例如那些居住在南边的棕熊，气候不那么恶劣，冬季的食物也还算有所保障，棕熊冬眠的时间就可能很短暂。棕熊们重新开始活跃的季节在第二年的3-5月，但具体时间要取决于居住的地点、气候等等因素。 　　棕熊属于受贸易威胁的动物之一，它们的数量在20世纪初期至中期下降的极为厉害。至2012年，全世界棕熊的数量估计在10万头左右。西亚、西南亚、中国西藏和克什米尔的棕熊已经濒临绝迹。欧洲棕熊在以前分布的地区已经大面积灭绝了。有些地区还有少量的棕熊，包括斯堪的纳维亚半岛、俄罗斯、斯洛文尼亚、比利牛斯山脉 ，以及意大利的阿布鲁齐群山(Abruzzi mountains) 和特伦蒂诺山谷(Trentino
