How to Protect Your Eyes
It is important for everyone to keep good eyesight.But do you know how to protect your eyesight?
First,don't keep your eyes working for a long time.You'd better have a rest by looking in the long distance after you have studied an hour or so.
Second,pay attention to the following:Don't read in the sun or in a poor light; don't read in bed or in a moving bus.And when you read you should keep the book away from your eyes for about a foot.
And third,do eye-exercises every day.It will also help you keep good eyesight.
The fouth,don't sleep too late,otherwise,the eyes will be too tired which is harmful.
If you obey the rules above,I think,you may prevent your eyesight from becoming short-sighted.

A moving story--about FAMILY
A man came home from work late,tired and irritated,to find his 5-year oldson waiting for him at the door.
SON:"Daddy,may I ask you a question?"
DAD:"Yeah sure,what is it?" replied the man.
SON:"Daddy,how much do you make an hour?"
DAD:"That's none of your business.Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
SON:"I just want to know.Please tell me,how much do you make an hour?"
DAD:"If you must know,I make $20 an hour."
"Oh",the little boy replied,with his head down.Looking up,he said,"Daddy,may I please borrow $10?"
The father was furious,"If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense,then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed.Think about why you are being so selfish.I work hard everyday for such this childish behaviour."
The little boy quietly went to his room an!d shut the door.The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions.How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so,the man had calmed down,and started to think:Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn't ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door."Are you asleep,son?" He asked."No daddy,I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking,maybe I was too hard on you earlier said the man ."It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.Here's the $10 you asked for." The little boy sat straight up,smiling."Oh,thank you.daddy!" He yelled.Then,reaching under his pillow he
pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man,seeing that the boy already had money,started to get angry again.he little boy slowly counted out his money,then looked up at his father."Why do you want more money !if you already have some?" the father grumbled."Because I didn't have enough,but nowI do," the little boy replied."Daddy,I have $20 now.Can I buy anhour of your time?Please comehome early tomorrow.I would like to have dinner with you."
So what is the moral of the story?Don't work too hard...and you know what's the full word of FAMILY?

故事一：
泼水节的传说
西双版纳、德宏傣族的泼水节传说都是“七公主杀火魔”的故事,华坪傣族的泼水节传说故事却独具特色.
相传在很久以前,金沙江边一个聚居在密林深处的傣族村寨,因树林起火,村民处在被大火吞没的危难之中,一个名叫李良的傣家汉子,为保护村庄,不畏危险,冲出火网,从金沙江里挑来一桶桶江水,泼洒山火.
经过一天一夜的劳累,山火终于被泼灭了,村民得救,李良因为劳累把汗流干了,倒在山头上.村民打来清水给李良解渴,但他喝了九十九挑水也解不了渴.后来,李良索性一头扑到江水中,变成一条巨龙,顺江而去.有的说,他变成了一棵大树.
傣族人民为纪念李良,每年农历三月初三这一天,每家房屋清扫一新,撒上青松叶,并在选定的江边或井旁,用绿树搭起长半里长的青棚,棚下撒满厚厚的松针,两旁放上盛满水的水槽,午间太阳当顶时,众人穿行于棚间,相互用青松蘸水洒身,吉祥幸福的水相互泼洒,表示对李良的怀念和对新年的祝福.
这项活动一直延续至今,成为傣族人民辞旧迎新祝福吉祥的节日——泼水节.
故事二：
阿诗玛:小石林有一个“阿诗玛”石,风风雨雨,她都在那里翘首以待,等待阿黑哥的到来.
相传土司热布巴拉家向阿诗玛家提亲,没有结果,便把阿诗玛抢走.这事被阿黑哥知道了,他翻过七七四十九座山,从远方牧场匆匆回去救阿诗玛.回到家后,阿诗玛已被抢走三天三夜了.他又骑上神马跨过九九八十一条河赶到热布巴拉家.经过几番周折,终于救出了阿诗玛.
阿诗玛和阿黑哥欢天喜地,骑马踏上归途.他们不知走了多少路、跨过几条沟、翻了几座山.天黑下来了,风大起来了,为了早日到家,他们顾不上这些,还是继续往前走.走着走着,一阵乱风过后,天上乌云滚滚,四野雷声隆隆,眼看一场暴风雨即将来临,他们只好双双下马,但在黑夜里什么也看不见,结果两人迷了路.这时风又大,雨又急,看是看不见,喊是喊不应.山洪下来,水越来越深,他俩走散了,谁也找不到谁.洪水渐渐退去后,阿诗玛和阿黑哥又碰到一起,但两人都已迷失方向.他们正犯愁时,一只嗡嗡叫的小蜜蜂朝他们飞来.蜜蜂围绕他们转了三圈后,开始讲话了：“嗡嗡嗡,嗡嗡嗡,今晚就来家歇,我家就在岩洞中.”于是阿诗玛同阿黑哥朝着小蜜蜂飞的方向走去.
蜜蜂领着阿黑和阿诗玛进了石林,这里又湿又滑,阿诗玛伸手想找个癞石头扶扶,不料一下粘在了崖壁上,再也下不来了.她只好伤心地对阿黑哥说：“阿黑哥啊阿黑哥,快想法救下我,去找白猪、白公鸡,拿来祭献神爷.”
阿黑哥听后,又伤心又着急,他擦干眼泪,又翻过四十九座山,八十一条河,最后找来白公鸡,但是走遍九村十八寨,就是找不到白猪.没办法,他只好找来一头黑猪,又到山上挖来一筐白泥巴.他把泥巴和成浆,涂在黑猪身上充白猪,这样白猪和白鸡都有了.可就在他高高兴兴准备回石林时,由于连日奔波太疲倦了,爬过最后一座山后,一坐下来便睡着了.这时,没斯帕玛（老天爷）又下起一场大雨,雨水把他从梦中浇醒,过去看猪时,黑猪身上的白泥巴早被雨水冲得干干净净.崖神祭不成了,阿诗玛也救不下来,阿黑后悔莫及,他呼天唤地大哭一场,但崖神不松手,阿诗玛就永远粘在那块大石头上.天长日久,在雨水的不断冲刷下,形成我们现在看到的那个样子.阿诗玛石像旁的那一池水,就是当时把白猪冲成黑猪的那场雨水积下的.
