唐宋八大家，又称唐宋散文八大家，是韩愈、柳宗元和欧阳修、苏轼、苏洵、苏辙、王安石、曾巩八位散文家的合称。其中韩愈、柳宗元是唐代的，而欧阳修、苏轼、苏洵、苏辙、王安石、曾巩是宋代的。其中韩愈、柳宗元是唐代古文运动的领袖，欧阳修、三苏等四人是宋代古文运动的核心人物，王安石、曾巩是临川文学的代表人物。韩愈是“古文运动”的倡导者，他们先后掀起的古文革新浪潮，使诗文发展的陈旧面貌焕然一新。扩展资料1、韩愈韩愈三岁而孤，受兄嫂抚育，早年流离困顿，有读书经世之志，虽孤贫却刻苦好学。二十岁赴长安考进士，三试不第。二十五岁后，他先中进士，三试博学鸿词科不成，赴汴州董晋、徐州张建封两节度使幕府任职。后回京任四门博士。三十六岁后，任监察御史，因上书论天旱人饥状，请减免赋税，贬阳山令。宪宗时北归，为国子博士，累官至太子右庶子，但不得志。五十岁后，先从裴度征吴元济，后迁刑部侍郎。因谏迎佛骨，贬潮州刺史。移袁州。不久回朝，历国子祭酒、兵部侍郎、吏部侍郎、京兆尹等职，五十七岁终。政治上较有作为。诗力求险怪新奇，雄浑而重气势。2、柳宗元顺宗时，王叔文执政，他任礼部员外郎，锐意推行政治改革。不久，王叔文失败，他也被贬为永州司马，迁柳州刺史。在南方凡十四年，死于柳州。唐代著名的思想家和杰出的文学家。作为唐代古文运动倡导者和唐宋八大家之一，柳宗元反对六朝以来笼罩文坛的绮靡浮艳文风，提倡质朴流畅的散文。著有《柳河东集》四十五卷，《外集》二卷。柳宗元永州八记中《小石潭记》最著名。3、苏轼嘉祐二年（1057）与弟苏辙同登进士。授大理评事，签书凤翔府判官。熙宁二年（1069），父丧守制期满还朝，为判官告院。与王安石政见不合，反对推行新法，自请外任，出为杭州通判。迁知密州（今山东诸城），移知徐州。元丰二年（1079），罹“乌台诗案”，责授黄州（今湖北黄冈）团练副使，本州安置，不得签书公文。哲宗立，高太后临朝，被复为朝奉郎知登州（今山东蓬莱）；4个月后，迁为礼部郎中；任未旬日，除起居舍人，迁中书舍人，又迁翰林学士知制诰，知礼部贡举。元祐四年（1089）出知杭州，后改知颍州，知扬州、定州。元祐八年（1093）哲宗亲政，被远贬惠州（今广东惠阳）。绍圣四年（1097年），年已62岁的苏轼被一叶孤舟送到了徼边荒凉之地海南岛儋州（今海南儋县）。徽宗即位后，苏轼被调廉州安置、舒州团练副使、永州安置。元符三年（1101年）大赦，复任朝奉郎，北归途中，于建中靖国元年七月二十八日（1101年8月24日）卒于常州（今属江苏）。葬于汝州郏城县（今河南郏县），享年六十五岁。苏轼留下遗嘱葬汝州郏城县钧台乡上瑞里。次年，其子苏过遵嘱将父亲灵柩运至郏城县安葬。宋高宗即位后，追赠苏轼为太师，谥为“文忠”。参考资料来源：百度百科——唐宋八大家
